  • Conscious + Creative Parenting w/ Evie Vieira

On today's episode, Sarah brings on Evie Vieira to discuss all things parenting. Evie is a Speaker, Parent Educator and Coach who specializes in helping parents see their strong willed children for who they are, not for what they do. She is also the founder of Creative Parenting Solutions and talks about how to connect with your children and help them calm down by meeting their needs- which gets to the root of the issue- vs. squashing the behavior. She also discusses the need to reparent ourselves in order to raise our children well, and how to hold a flexible parenting mindset vs. a fixed one. Evie shared why having a strong-willed child is one of the greatest gifts, and encourages parents to heal and grow themselves as they journey with their children.

  • The Desire to Belong +The Need to be Yourself

Today's podcast focuses on the universal idea that we all have a desire to belong, to fit in, to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, and often sacrifice our ability to be authentically ourself in order to fit in.  Sarah interviews others and their experiences of feeling "on the outside", as well as what they begin believing about themselves when they perceive they don't belong. She explores the social psychology behind this desire to belong, and offers new ways to think about it that take listeners away from being a victim of natural social status processes, to finding their own sense of belonging right where they are- just as they are. Sarah gives listeners an intimate look into her own journey into self-acceptance, authenticity, and belonging.
