  • Episode 38: Guest Host Leila Del Duca w/Special Guest Caitlin Yarsky!

For the first time in recorded Blue Tiger history, a former guest has made the ascension to the cosmic throne of cohost.

Theoretical models warn that even the most subtle adjustment to the BTR broadcast transmission may cause what is known as a ripple effect in the space-time-continuum and thus causation of unpredictable universal events.

This is a risk that we here at BTR are willing to… risk… for you… the cubs.

The wonderful Leila Del Duca replaces Tadd since he, the garbage humanoid that he is, has escaped to Big Island Hawaii for an undisclosed amount of time.

We start the show off discussing the rare and recent Peter Laird interview. Leila breaks down her first time viewing of the 1990 TMNT movie.

Leila proves to be the superior co-host, as she brings a special guest; comic artist, Caitlin Yarsky!

Originally from New York, Caitlin is now in Portland, Oregon and a member of the largest comic book collective of working professionals in the industry, Helioscope Studios.

Her works include Black Hammer: Reborn, Bliss, Catwoman, and DC’s Lazurus Planet. You can find Caitlin, along with links to her socials, at her website.

Everyone, FINALLY, comes clean on why Tadd is universally despised and hopefully lost in some ancient jungle, never to return. Resulting in a long and fruitful reign of Del Duca as the other half of your world tag-team podcasting champions.

This is not an episode you want to miss.

Have you experienced the elusive and majestic energy of the Blue Tiger? Had a sighting in the wilderness of the eternal forest? Tasted the blue milk of it’s revenge? Then let the people know it exists!

  • Episode #37: a New Year, a New Revenge

It’s 2023… a new year and a new revenge for the ol’ azul tigre’!

We break in the proverbial New Year with the usual “unusual” talk as Big Bry finally taps into the Japanese mega-verse that is manga (about damn time), Tadd fights his father in the afterlife (where defeat is inevitable), and discuss the trope of “what if Hitler survived the war!?”

Also what comics destroyed our eye holes over the holiday break.

It’s the year of your pop-culture tiger overlord. From invading conventions, to fully birthing Operation: B.L.U.E., join the return of past guests and new blood as the Blue Tiger’s quest for REVENGE continues deep in the the bowels of 2023.

Have you experienced the elusive and majestic energy of the Blue Tiger? Had a sighting in the wilderness of the eternal forest? Tasted the blue milk of it’s revenge? Then let the people know it exists!

  • Episode 35: Tony Gregori

He may draw “The Worst Dudes,” but Tony Gregori is actually one of the best dudes!

It’s been a cosmic-second since we’ve checked in with Tony to see what he’s been up to and he’s been busy.

Still proclaimed as “the Underground King” amongst many of his peers, Gregori has been lending his brush-work-storytelling since we last saw him to the Big Five. With most recently working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle #129, and fulfilling the childhood dream of every kid who pines of the days of Saturday morning cartoons.

His latest big contribution to the pantheon of comic stories is the creator-owned series “The Worst Dudes” for Dark Horse Comics, written by Aubrey Sitterson. A space comedy to make the naïve blush. This drug crazed sex romp of sci-fi adventure crosses the universe in a search of a missing person.

Space, sin, violence and a lot of pink fur, this book is the perfect balance of debauchery for the holiday season. Get it!

Tony has currently resumed working with writer David Crispino on their next graphic novel spanning 100+ pages. Adding yet another title to their impressive collaborative library, including “Ancient Noise” and “Taft Sturgeon.”

Have you experienced the elusive and majestic energy of the Blue Tiger? Had a sighting in the wilderness of the eternal forest? Tasted the blue milk of it’s revenge? Then let the people know it exists!

  • Episode: Alpha Tigers

Tiger Cubs, there’s an “Alpha” Con that’s apparently happening, according to the inter-webs! And sadly no, it’s not an “Alpha Flight” convention as we all hoped (sorry Canada).

If you’ve seen the adverts you know that those fools are just alpha turds selling alpha farts on the wind. How do we know this? there’s an ancient saying that goes “if ya got to say it…” it just ain’t true.

All kidding aside this is a old school style episode of useless news and some amazing stories. Since we love those hard grit, nose to the grindstone, indie creators, we delve into some more Kickstarters that are getting close to… closing.

Alaskan-based comic writer and friend of BTR, Conner Bartel, currently has a campaign running , collecting the entirety of his samurai trilogy: “Swords and Sarrows,” “Swords and Silence,” and “Swords and Solace.” With a cover by a certain BTR cohost, this 80 page homage to classic chanbara is near it’s end with only a few days left and could still use a bit of help crossing the goal line. Check out the Kickstarter and give it a shot of the ol’ tiger milk!

Get it: SWORDS & SACRIFICE by Conner Bartel

In keeping with our favorite of genres, another campaign we’re watching is…

“144 page graphic novel inspired by beat ‘em up video games, underground comics, B-movies, and ravings of the criminally insane.”

From the minds of Andrew MacLean (Head Lopper, ApocalyptiGirl) and Alexis Ziritt (Space Riders, Night Hunters) you know this is well worth the time. Already riding high, this campaign is guaranteed to deliver the crazy. Pour a little tiger milk on the graves of your vanquished and pick this up.

Get it: DEATH FIGHT FOREVER by MacLean and Ziritt

  • Episode 33: Fat Bears

The “Revenge” continues… a little late to post, but sometimes we have to dodge the Deep State as they, once again, try and capture the always elusive Blue Tiger.

Bry previews Black Adam on opening night, and you can imagine his glee to see Henry Cavill back on the big screen; glistening in Kryptonian garb. What was the overall theater experience like? We break it down, and more.

In snowy Alaska, it’s last minute snack-time for the bears as the prep for hibernation and they’re waging a food-boner fueled assault on Tadd’s secluded mountain nestled broadcast center. The nightmare is coming true... and the trash cans aren’t proving to be enough.

Get caught up on “Operation: B.L.U.E.” at GNAR PIG.

  • Episode 32: Kickstarting Success with comic writer Ludie Sexton of Warden Comics!

The “American (comic book) Dream” is telling the kinds of stories you want to read panel by page and that’s exactly what independent comic writer Ludie Sexton is doing!

Ludie has made the ultimate creator moves. Founded his own comic publishing house, Warden Comics. Then proceeded to create one successful Kickstarter after another, producing a catalog of stories, some spanning multiple chapters, for his readers and the independent marketplace.

    And Ludie’s just getting started:

His current Kickstarter is “Monstrosities: A Horror Anthology.” The first anthology from Warden Comics, it features 14 individual stories from various creative teams, including BTR alum and Eisner nominee, comic artist David Brame.

Spanning over 100 pages, “Monstrosities” is just in time for the Halloween season. The campaign is getting close to the wire, but there’s still time left to back this GN! We already did, so what are you waiting for… DO IT… COME ON… DO IT NOW!

  • Episode 31: With Peace & Love from Comic Creator Ramon Villalobos

It’s nothing but peace and love from surprise guest, Ramon Villalobos, as he breaks down his up coming “Bad Idea!”

Stockton’s own old-school artist, himself, dropped in and gave us the lowdown on his new barbarian-biker-grindhouse-fantasy-Epic, “They’re All Terrible,” from Bad Idea comics.

Ramon channels the stylings of greats like Frank Quietly and Richard Corben as his line-work brings to life the writing of Matt Kindt. Paired with one of the best colorists in the industry today, Tamra Bonvillain, this book looks to bring a kind of beautiful debauchery to love and respect! Look at that stippling; COMIC BEAST!

“They’re All Terrible” drops this December with select stores of Bad Idea comics. Find it. Read it. live it. Love it!

  • Episode 30: Snagging Man-Things at Rose City Comic Con with Super Producer Matty K

The Revenge Crew were on the hunt this year at Rose City Comic Con!

Big Bry was joined by super producer and voice of (your favorite rock riff) “Tiger Milk,” the always charming Matty K, at this year’s Rose City Comic Con in the heart of Portland, Oregon. They did what tigers do best… hunted; hunted hard. What was in season? Those sweet and sweaty back issues. The smell of their pulpy yellowed parchment tickled the nostrils, seducing the minds of even the most hardened of comic collectors.

While Tadd was somewhere , lost in the city of sun, sex, and sin; the revenge crew had the best post-ish (we aren’t out of the woods yet) pandemic convention experience yet. Tracking down some of the most classic of back issues, including that burning to touch, Man-Thing! Oh, that big greasy Man-Thing, he’s just getting all over the place these days.

Also sometimes it is awesome to meet your heroes…. Jim Lee. Yeah, these goons got to hang with his greatness, Jim Lee!

I’m getting the vibe that Hawaiian shirts might be something that needs to get added to the BTR merch experience.

If you happen to be in Boise Idaho this weekend drop by BCAF (Boise Comics and Arts Festival) and checkout the Arc Welder Studios booth. They’ll be selling a very limited advanced printing of “Pelts” #1, illustrated by our very own Milkman, Tadd. Get it before the official release.

Be oh so fine as you go through life and show the stripes of our sweet designs.

Have you experienced the elusive and majestic energy of the Blue Tiger? Had a sighting in the wilderness of its eternal forest? Tasted the rich revenge of its blue milk? Then tell the people and let them know it exists!
