Cresson Lake Playhouse has been providing our area with incredible entertainment for fifty years!

This year, they begin with Finding Nemo, Jr from May 9th-12th. Then, it is a series of shows throughout summer into the fall.

The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra will close out their season with an arena rock show!

They will team up with Symphony rock band Jeans ‘n’ Classics for a show featuring the music of Sting and The Police. 

The show will be held at the 1st Summit Arena at The Cambria County War Memorial on May 18th

"Even the Odds" and "Giants of Science" will be hitting the stage!

A “sound bath” is a form of therapy using music and it is a running program available in our area at The Grand Halle in Cambria City.

The Grand Halle is known as a great venue for weddings and concerts, but that is far from all they offer.

We talked to Angelique Stolar, Program Manager at The Grand Halle, about the The Grand Halle and sound baths!

Memorabilia, equipment, and vehicles from the Vietnam War era and more will be at the Vietnam Veterans Recognition Ceremony this Friday at 1st Summit Arena in Johnstown. 

Veterans will read the names of all Cambria and Somerset County residents who died during the war. There will also be music from local band Three of Hearts  and members of The Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.

A light lunch will also be provided. 

The event starts at 9 AM and goes till 1 pm.

USA Hockey will kick off the 2024 National Championships starting Thursday, April 4, 2024. 

Three local players are part of the Pittsburgh Rebellion team heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the event. 

We talked to Megan Harbaugh and Piper Bruce, both 9th graders at Westmont Jr-Sr. High School, and Lexie Feathers, an 8th grader at Conemaugh Township Jr-Sr. High School, about their careesr in hockey and the big event!

ACRP began in 1989! This year, they celebrate their 35th year. 

There are now 12 offices and multiple school and office locations covering Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, and Blair counties, serving 6,000 clients, students, and families annually in the home, school, and our communities.

In each of its 32 programs, ACRP addresses the needs of children and carries them into, and sometimes through, adulthood.

This Saturday is their 17th Annual Beach Party at Ace’s in Cambria City.

The Cambria County Backpack Project works with area schools to provide meals for students on weekends. 

Some area students only have a regular meal at school, which creates an issue when they are not in class. 

The Backpack Project works to end this problem with their meals. 

The group is having an event this week, a basketball tournament and more,  to raise money.

Sitting Bulls Sled Hockey is designed for youth and adults with physical disabilities.

Sled Hockey is hockey, except you sit on a sled and use two sticks to move around. 

They will be at Johnstown Tomahawks games this week- Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday fundraising. 

The Sitting Bulls do NOT charge people for equipment or registration to join their team!
