If you are like us (and why wouldn’t you be), you too have been in anticipation for nearly a year just checking your inboxes for the latest updates, scouring the internet for the tiniest glimpse of a component, asking that strange guy who hangs out in the seedy corners of the gaming conventions if he has hear anything and downright loosing sleep over the promise of one day holding that giant box of tokens, miniatures and meeples in your arms. So at the risk of already having gone on too long, let’s dive right in. That’s right folks. We are talking about Stonemaier Games latest masterpiece…Scythe. And maybe a few other things, too.

    On this very special episode, the crew is joined by actor, gamer, ogre and hilarious host of the Plaid Hat Podcast… Mr. Alex Eding. And like a bronco bursting out of the shoot, the show wastes no time in getting down to business.     Join our courageous adventurers on the high seas as they overcome their fears of open water, parley with the denizens of the deep and analyze game component textures to levels boarding on uncomfortable. The crew starts by taking an obligatory look at the Spiel Des Hares nominations in an effort to determine just which game deserves to be crowned “Game of the Year”. Steven and Adam then cautiously join Seth in the deep waters of the abyss to see if communing with fish people is as riveting as the artwork suggests. The cast then falls prey to a total party wipeout at the hands of an over zealous gnome and a green dragon… or do they?

The show then concludes with Adam climbing on top of a soap box to comment on the role of sexual equality in modern board gaming.
