They kick the show off by diving deep into the Board Game Geek vault to unearth a couple of games that may just find their way onto your Thanksgiving day gaming table. It then wraps up with a compare and contrast of two building games fit for an eccentric king.

In this very spooky episode, the BGPOV crew talks about some of their favorite scary video games, zombified feline shenanigans and mysterious traffic cones. The team resurrects ten of their favorite games to play on Halloween and unearths some of the most horrific offerings from Board Game Geek. The show then concludes in a very heated discussion as they ponder the burning question… does Princess Peach actually have the hots for Luigi?

Steven is left drooling after backing his very first Kickstarter project, Seth has an altercation with some salsa and Adam talks about portly men happily walking dogs down country roads. The show then concludes with a surprise guest who has a beef to pick with two of our youngest hosts.

The show then wraps up with a riveting summation of Dungeons & Dragons from one of its newest converts. (Spoiler Alert: Mistakes were made.)

The evening then concludes by discussing the merits of dinosaurs and aliens in board games (spoiler alert… they’re always a good idea).

In the opening act, we discuss the inhuman success of Dead of Winter at this year’s Dice Tower Awards and tip our hats to one game that probably should have won. Then, experience unimaginable terror as Steven’s question to Alex forces one member of the group to rage quit… or take a bathroom break (I’ve heard it both ways). And in an amazing final act, mystifying recollections from Origins will surely have you on the edge of your seats before we lower the lights for some D&D-inspired magic.

In Part 2 of our Origins special, we reminisce about our time at Origins and give those that have not been a lay of the land. We also discuss sampling the local cuisine, swimming in dice and witnessing the wonder that is Alex Eding’s shock of blue hair. The show ends with us analyzing a game about dueling wizards (which we did not care for) and being trapped on an island filled with savage penguins (which turns out is actually a lot of fun).
