We are back with another Monday Mini-sode!
Today I am sharing an encounter I had this week that triggered some thoughts about my body and how I feel about it…..and how OTHERS feel about it. It’s a quick episode today, but something I felt like I needed to share.
*Trigger Warning: While today’s conversation is positive, helpful, and full of really good insight, we do discuss some heavy topics including depression and suicidal thoughts.
My guest today is Steffanie Wing, or as she is sometimes known: That Undercover Unicorn. After struggling with postpartum depression after her second child, Steffanie dove deep into learning about self love and utilizing different tools. Today she is sharing what turned out to be her most powerful tool, affirmations.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Always do your best. Give 100% in everything. I call BULLSHIT.
Perfectionism stops us from doing things. Instead, I say that anything worth doing is worth doing terribly. After all, isn’t something better than nothing?
Science says friendship is not only good for your health, but vital! Lack of friendship and loneliness can be as detrimental to your health as smoking cigarettes!
Join me today as I talk with Friendship Mentor, Emily Siegel about how to shift your perspective on having and making friends while being a mom. We talk about identifying what ideal friendships look like for you, strategies to get past small talk, and dealing with leftover fears and friendship baggage.
Emily is the host of The Connected Mom Life Podcast and creator of Squad from Scratch. Find more from Emily here

In today's episode we talk about what it means to feel like something is missing in your life or to feel that yearning to be or do more.
*Spoiler: if something feels like it’s missing….it’s probably you.
Today’s episode is a heart to heart conversation about what it means to wake up, to be you on purpose, to live more courageously, to get out of your own way, and to share your story along the way. Because you never know, it might help, inspire, or give a lifeline to someone who might need it to not feel so alone.
