Kojo Nnamdi was joined Oct. 18 by Jenn White, host of 1A, for a live call-in special for Virginians to share what is or isn't driving them to vote and what thoughts they have about the future of the Commonwealth.

In the Virginia governor’s race, Republican Glenn Youngkin and Democrat Terry McAuliffe are in a dead heat, and the races for lieutenant governor and attorney general remain close. Candidates are sparring over hot-button issues like vaccine mandates, police reform, and abortion in an election that’s often seen as a bellwether for national politics.

The hosts were also joined by Eva McKend, a national politics reporter for CNN, and Gregory Schneider, a reporter covering Virginia for The Washington Post.
