This week we read the murder mystery and overall just a good book: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. Warning: there is a death of a dog so read at your own risk.

Florida is back on their bullshit and just passed HB 1467 allowing the public to recommend books to be banned from schools. You will be shocked by what books they choose (hint: it’s not the ones written by straight white men). Let's make sure that all students are able to see themselves represented in the books they read and get these books out there.
fuck u desantis or whatever the fuck your name is

Big ol' Trigger Warning on today's episode for child abuse & sexual abuse & gun violence. Today we are talking about Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov which is a book that every tumblr teen talked about and I'm not so convinced they read it because this book is a lot but not in a fun way. If you don't know what this book is about, you will now.

In this mini we're talking about one of Sydney's favorites, Kurt Vonnegut! Turns out he wasn't as controversial as we thought, but he really wasn't a great husband. Tune in to learn more about this legendary Vonne-guy

The word of the day is ACAB! Today we are talking about The Black Dahlia by James Elroy which is the FICTIONAL story centered around the murder of Elizabeth Short. This book was written by a man in the 80s so you know it has misogyny, racism, and homophobia. It’s a wild ride with too many turns so buckle in

Another Vonnegut classic and the warning we all needed. Today's episode has islands, presidents, atomic bombs, turtles, clarinets, and ice nine. Another tale of people destroying the world but this time in one of the wildest ways possible, so get ready to be icy.

Once again, I apologize for butchering every name. On this mini we talk about the KGB: what they did, where they came from, and where they are now. Lots of spy talk so if you like James Bond you'll totally love this episode.
