Books are Chic

I loved celebrating the release and a Book of the Month selection as well as a Hoda and Jenna Recommended Summer read, The Lifestyle with author Taylor Hahn.  The book is such a fun summer read and IYKYK the premise is GASP!  We laughed and chatted all things debut novels, writing all while still practicing law.

I had the BEST time chatting with debut author, Alex Kiester as we celebrated her debut print novel, The Truth About Ben and June.  She was so delightful and we chatted her early jobs, fun shows, recent reads and writing.  Alex was like talking to an old friend and not to mention I loved the book!

My love for Kate White runs deep.  It started in 2002 with my purchase of If Looks Could Kill- the first in the Bailey Weggins mystery series.  I. WAS. HOOKED.  Auto-subscribed to anything Kate White would write.  When I got the opportunity to have her on my podcast, all dreams came true.  SHE is iconic, beyond fabulous and the real deal.  You will be hooked on Kate after you listen to this episode.  Plus she talks about her time at cosmo, magazine life and maybe a Bailey novella.

Reese's Witherspoon's Book Club pick alumi, Sarah Pearse joins me to chat about her second thriller, The Retreat.  I LOVED this book.  This was a classic throwback to Agatha and Mrs. Marple herself.  I loved chatting with Sarah and hearing her process and journey.  I promise you, you will love The Retreat.  I even moved The Sanatorium up in my TBR, I loved detective Elin Warner, that much!
