- Dream of the Damned Ep. 43 - Rapunzel is Clearly a Story to Encourage People to Paint (Rapunzel)
We finish our discussion of Barbie as Rapunzel in this episode and as promised I looked up when the last movie Barbie got married in and without watching them I'm gonna trust google for now and say the last Barbie movie she gets married in at the end is The Island Princess.
We are recording our episodes LIVE over on Twitch! You get to see and hear us as we discuss books, movies, and musicals, and you can even interact with us during the episodes! 1 hr 2 min - Dream of the Damned Ep. 42 - Colleen is Extremely Confused. Send Help. (Rapunzel)
Barbie as Rapunzel is one of Karen's favorite childhood movies. She has seen it about a million times.
Colleen has never seen Barbie as Rapunzel and is extremely confused upon watching it for the first time.
Absolutely nothing makes sense in this movie. And that's fine!
Come join us in our discussion of the first half of the movie Barbie as Rapunzel as we are thrust into the story of Rapunzel told in a way that leaves a lot to be desired. We might know why Rapunzel is hidden away from the outside world, but anyone who doesn't truly know the story wouldn't know and wouldn't find out until the end of the movie anyways. How does the magic in the hairbrush work, and why does no one question it? Is this actually a Cinderella story in disguise? Let's discuss!

1 hr 37 min - 3 Years and Still Going!!!
Happy 3rd Anniversary to Books, Movies, and Musicals! Oh, My!
We would like to thank every single one of you for your continued support over the past 3 years as we have grown as a podcast. From starting in a closet to all the guests we've had on the show, and now we stream our episodes LIVE on Twitch??? It's crazy how far we've come! (Just don't mention our multiple hiatuses... We acknowledge them, but we don't necessarily feel good about them. Lmao.)
While we have gotten so much better with our consistency over the past year, we have plans to get back into some of our other series - The Holiday Show and A Whole Lotta Disney - and inviting new and old guests onto the podcast. We are going to continue putting in the work to keep this podcast going and we're going to have fun doing it!
Again, we just want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has joined us on this adventure. We wouldn't be here without you guys. <3
We will see y'all in the next episode!

24 min - Dream of the Damned Ep. 41 - When Disney Doesn't Even Understand Their Own Princess' Magic Hair (Rapunzel)
If only Disney could figure out their own rules for Rapunzel's hair, if only. It would be nice to know exactly how and why it works and where the power is coming from. If anyone knows, let us know! We are very interested in people's theories!!

1 hr 37 min - Dream of the Damned Ep. 40 - Mother Gothel ACTUALLY Cares About Rapunzel, and We Have Proof! (Rapunzel)
Everyone thinks that Mother Gothel only cares about Rapunzel's hair, but they're WRONG! Mother Gothel actually does care about Rapunzel! How else would she be able to read, cook, and paint? Now, was Mother Gothel smart in how she raised Rapunzel? Maybe not... But that's okay.
Besides Rapunzel, we absolutely adore Flynn! 10/10 character. And his relationship with Maximus is just *chef's kiss*. We love them!

52 min - Our Goblet of Wine is Better Ep. 53 - Harry Potter and the Time We Were Confused About Everything (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie)
Not only are many of the characters in this movie confused about what's going on, but we are too!! Join us in our confusion!
In this episode we discuss the second half of the Goblet of Fire movie where Hermione yells at Harry (for no reason), the champions only needed to swim straight down for the second task, the ENTIRE third task gets changed, and Durmstrang shoots canons at Hogwarts as they leave! Come hear us discuss how different the movie is from the book! Also I somehow managed to delete at least 30 minutes of audio... we had a lot of dead air or we repeated ourselves a lot but either way it resulted in a shorter episode!

2 hr 36 min - Our Goblet of Wine is Better Ep. 52 - Harry Potter and the Death Raffle (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie)
Harry very clearly didn't want to take part in the Death Raffle (aka the Triwizard Tournament), but Ron isn't listening!
In this episode we discuss the first half of the Goblet of Fire movie where most of Barty Crouch Jr's backstory is eliminated and the movie just moves so quickly! We're not even sure what the timeline is since there just isn't one set in stone. Not to mention the movie universe is definitely outside of the book universe. Come hear us discuss how different the movie is than the book!

1 hr 29 min - Our Goblet of Wine is Better Ep. 50 - Wormtail Should Be Dead. Just Sayin. (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Ch. 33, 34, & 35)
It's the 50th episode of Our Goblet of Wine is Better!!! Thank you to everyone who has tuned into the series and we can't wait to see where it takes us next!
In this episode, we discuss how Wormtail should have bled out after cutting his hand off, how we wish we knew more about the Dark Mark, and faithful Death Eaters. We have issues with how Expelliarmus is somehow able to block Avada Kedavra, but we're finally able to confirm that Karen remembered Barty Crouch Junior's history correctly! While streaming our episode live, our audience was also able to provide some insight to a few things we had questions about and we were able to discuss some interesting theories with them.

About Books, Movies, and Musicals! Oh, My!
From the publisher's feed
Two best friends embark on a journey to ruin all of their favorite childhood stories. Especially Harry Potter. And the Disney Princesses. And anything else we can get our hands on.
We dive deep into the stories we know and love, but do we really know them? It turns out we don’t! Upon realizing we didn't know these stories as well as we thought, we decided to embark on a mission to dive deep and analyze as many as we possibly can (while dragging some amazing guests along with us). If you hadn’t guessed it by now, many things don’t make sense in these books, movies, and musicals.
So come join us, Karen and Colleen, as we tear apart our childhood loves and discover things we never noticed before.
