This was arguably the worst the Celtics have played offensively this year besides our blowout loss to the Nets. Nobody could get in a rhythm all game long and the only thing that held this game together was the defense and timely plays from our rookie Payton Pritchard. Pritchard in his second game back, logged 23 minutes and 12 points including two huge threes late in the fourth, one of which brought the Celtics within 3 with a minute left.
After a really solid performance from both Tatum and Kemba in our win against the Clippers, both had one of their worst shooting nights of the season. Tatum ended with 23 points but shot 8-22 while Kemba ended the game with 14 points on 4-20 from the field. It's not going to be easy, pulling off a victory without JB and Smart and having your two primary scorers, shooting as bad as they did. If you can take one bright spot from this game, it is that as bad as we played today we still had an opportunity to win it at the end after Pritchard brought us within 3 with a minute left.
Celtics take on the Utah Jazz next on Tuesday February 9th at 10:00 PM EST.
