  • Hillary Clinton a Paper Tiger
Reid, a cybersecurity expert with Internet Systems Consortium, said there are two types of back-ups.
One is a physical security back-up, which protects against the loss of data during a computer crash. That type of back-up is short-term.
“Every company in the managed IT business will do physical security back-ups,” he said. “It’s similar to the concept of security video from the cops shows. If a cop subpoenas it, there are only very recent backups. A physical security backup can be overwritten in a matter of weeks.”Another type archives data farther back in time and is intended to be a record of what the data was at certain times in the past, Reid said. Companies dedicated to archival backups store the data in high-security warehouses. McClatchy

  • Is Donald Trump Done or the GOP
“By now,” she writes, “you’ve undoubtedly heard that there’s a guy named Erick Erickson, of RedState, who disinvited Donald Trump from a gathering  of conservatives because, as he put it, “there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross. Decency is one of those lines.”And there’s this [Erickson tweet]: “How awesome is Fox for letting Trump come on and bash Rosie!! Awesome.”I don’t endorse everything Donald Trump says or does … Mainly because I actually have to work for a living and I don’t pay as much attention to politics as professional pundits.  But I know that I hate the “politics of outrage” that people engage in.Bristol Palin on GOP Trumped-up outrage!

  • Window Dressing Ferguson,MO
The act of decorating and arranging products to display in a store window. : something that is intended to make a person or thing seem better or more attractive    Webter
A year after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown sparked a firestorm in Ferguson, the city is still pumping out thousands of new arrest warrants and jailing people over minor offenses, according to an exclusive CNNMoney analysis. This practice continues despite a scathing report from the Department of Justice in March that found that Ferguson's police department and municipal court were unconstitutionally targeting low-income and minority residents with tickets and fines for minor offenses -- often in pursuit of revenue. The report noted that there were more than 16,000 people (residents and non-residents alike) with outstanding arrest warrants as of the end of last year, equivalent to around 75% of the town's population.
The problem is widespread. Since Brown’s life was cut short on that fateful August day, we have witnessed incident after incident, in communities all across the country, of unarmed black men and women dying at the hands of police. Video cameras do not lie, and information and social media isn’t keeping people in isolated communities any more. Al Sharpton

  • Eddie Carthan's Tchula,Mississippi
“My name is Eddie Carthan,” he says, “and I need your help to lift our county from the bottom.”
Nearly 40 years ago, Carthan was elected mayor of Tchula, becoming the first Africa American  mayor of a Mississippi plantation town since Reconstruction, and his victory was celebrated by African Americans across the South
Tchula still looks much as it did when he was elected mayor in 1977, haunted by stray dogs and boarded-up buildings. The median income is $14,000 — a quarter of the national average — and 63 percent of residents live in poverty. Beyond the town center, cotton fields stretch to the horizon in almost every direction.

  • President Obama Attacks Power Plant Emissions
"They will claim this is a ‘war on coal’ to scare up votes, even as they ignore my plan to actually invest in revitalizing coal country and supporting health care and retirement for coal miners and their families and retraining those workers for better paying jobs and healthier jobs,Communities across America have been losing coal jobs for decades,” the president said. I want to work with Congress to help them, not to use them as a political football. Partisan press releases aren’t going to help those families.” President Obama

"It's hard to draw any other conclusion than this: The people who will suffer the most from this rule are working and retired coal miners and their families, primarily in Appalachia. These hard-working miners have given their health, their limbs and far too often their lives to create the foundation of the America we live in today. We cannot solve global climate change on their backs. They deserve much better than the fate this rule has in store in them.United Mine Workers of America
“After an initial review, it appears the Environmental Protection Agency has made some changes to the proposed Clean Power Plan rule; however, those limited changes still leave us with proposed regulations that are unreasonable, unrealistic and ultimately unattainable for our state. While those who employ our hardworking miners have urged us to refuse to submit a compliance plan, at this point West Virginia still has not determined whether it will submit any plan to the EPA.Gov.
