In this episode, I expand on Jagmeet Singh and the NDP's proposal for a public pharmaceutical lab, and general support for Canadians and the working class.

I get the memes, and many are funny and slightly cathartic. However, it seems there are lots of people out there thinking that years actually matter and can be good or bad, rather than events transcending our imposed order and us humans being responsible for how "good" or "bad" a year can be.

No, I'm not bothered by his sentiment and message. I'm bothered by his comparing of the US Capitol siege to the Kristallnacht when it's more like the Beer Hall Putsch, which makes more sense and is worse to a certain extent. Allow me to elaborate. NOTE: I misspoke when I said Arnold grew up in a post-Nazi Germany; he grew up in post-Nazi Austria.

It's a good thing that many people and publications on both sides of the political spectrum are calling on Senators Hawley and Cruz to resign for their role in stoking the crowd who stormed the US Capitol. However, these two are not the only Republicans or right-wingers who have blood on their hands. They and many more share a great deal of blame for years of empowering seditious voices.

Since the siege on Capitol Hill, lots of Canadians have been expressing thanks and gratitude that such a thing would or could never happen up here. Unfortunately, our Conservatives seem to love taking the worst notes from Republicans and are already claiming the next Canadian election will be rigged. This - and other offenses of theirs - are huge problems we should be wary of and condemn in the strongest possible way.

Ted Cruz is a spineless and slimy coward with blood on his hands.

What happened in Washington yesterday was equal parts historic and shameful. Thanks to an earlier lack of action with regards to similar people storming state legislatures, many felt emboldened to seize the US Capitol itself and be free of worry or consequence. What does this mean for the future of America?

Turns out Lindsey Graham's warning from 2016 was prophetic. Congrats to Warnock and Ossoff for flipping Georgia blue, and for helping ensure Trump is one of the biggest historic losers. Dems now control everything except the Supreme Court, which brings us to Lindsey's warning and what it means for the Republicans moving forward...

There are so many things wrong with this. While I appreciate the efforts of local officials to use familiar systems like Eventbrite to help solve their problems, it also brings into alarming focus the problems with "small government" and "free market" solutions. Many people will be left behind by this, and it's a monumental failing on Ron DeSantis' part.
