Season 3 Finale!! It's crazy to think that this is the 59th episode we've published! It's been a wild journey, and we're not done yet. In honor of end of Season 3, Bottled Up! is going to take some time to explore celebrations; the wines we choose for those celebrations and what they mean to us. Seán and Jenn each bring their own celebratory libations to share with each other and breakdown why those bottles in particular are good choices for our own personal celebrations.

Or, as some may call it, Skin Contact Wine. This style of wine making goes back milenia to the very origins of wine. It's more than a fad and certainly not a hip modern invention. Join Bottled Up! as we explore the complex and complicated world of Orange Wine!

The world of canned cocktails, also known as READY-TO-DRINK cocktails-- has exploded over the last few years. There are so many options and such strong marketing campaigns, that choosing the right canned cocktail can be overwhelming. So it is with nothing but altruistic motives that we here at Bottled Up! take on three canned options and give our very scientific and unbiased discoveries.

Season 3 Episode 9
The summer heat is sitting firmly on our chests like an overweight tabby cat. Here at Bottled Up! we already had an episode where we spoke at length about Sparkling Rosé, but that doesn't mean we can't do it again! If anything, this summer heat is to blame. Heat and Sparkling Rosé just go hand in hand. So in this episode we bring it back to New World and taste a delightful vintage sparkling rose. Coming at us from former Moet Chandon Chef de Cave, Wayne Donaldson, is this absolutely stunning W. Donaldson 2019 Sparkling Rosé. The challenge here is that this wine is only available via the wine club Naked Wines (nakedwines.com). Fortunately you do not have to be a member to order a bottle, but it will run you about 20 bucks more than if you are a member. That said! if you aren't a member or don't want to spend money on shipping etc, we highly encourage you to go to your local liquor store/wine shop and find a traditional method American (preferably California or specifically Sonoma) sparkling Rosé and DRINK-A-LONG!
This week's wine: W. Donaldson Sparkling Rose, 2019
Season 3 Episode 8:
The journey to the orgins of a grape can be winding and confusing. This week's episode probes into the daytime-TV-esque patronage of Primitivo, Zinfandel's Italian twin brother it didn't even know it had!
This Episode's wines:
CALX Primitivo
Famiglia Falvo Masseria Liveli, Orion 2020
Season 3 Episode 7
We're back! After our unwanted and unexpected summer hiatus we return to drink in the heat. These hot summer days call for crisp and refreshing wines. While that impetus may be to run for some Rose, why not step outside the main display at the wine shop and try something new? Chenin Blanc from South Africa!!
Like Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc is a very versitile grape and offers a huge range of expressions. For summer drinking this food friendly wine is one to keep on hand, for sure!
This week's wine: Bosman, Generation 8, Chenin Blanc
Season 3 Episode 6
It's that time of year again. The sun is out, the shorts are short, and the days are long. These long balmy days call for bright refreshing wines, wines that cleanse the palate and help make this heat a bit more bearable. Of course the go-to is Rosé. Whether from Provence, Oregon, New Zealand, Upstate NY, or anywhere inbetween, Rosé has long been hailed as the official wine of summer, and deservedly so. With so many Rosés on the market the choices can be overwhelming. In the past we have covered new world and old world and canned version of this summer time treat. For this episode we are going to train our focus upward toward the more elegant expressions of pink wine- Sparkling Rosé, and for such an elegant wine we reached out and grabbed ourselves a bottle from the top shelf. Bottled Up! a wine podcast of sorts presents.... Moet Chandon Rosé Imperial!
Go grab yourself a split, a half, a 750, or a magnum of this beauty and lets indulge.
