Box Not Included

WARNING: The following podcast contains mild spoilers for Critical Role and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and references to the current political climate.

WE'RE GEEKS. WE GEEK OUT. So we've made an episode all about it! We've done away with grand themes and instead decided to catch up with each other about what's satisfying our nerdery this week.

Hamish explains his Living Pokédex and why it is NOT a waste of time and his love of the terrible, terrible Always Sunny gang. Jade goes into detail about their love of for Taldorei's own Vox Machina as well as educational, historical, medical podcasts. PLUS! Some Doctor Who news saves us from the pit of despair that is 2017-so-far.

WARNING: The following podcast contains major spoilers for Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and minor spoilers for the book series.

Although you may wish to continue listening to the dreary discussions of Hamish Steele and Jade Rose, I implore you to seek entertainment elsewhere. Perhaps there's a new episode of The Adventure Zone or that half-listened to How Did This Get Made you've been putting off.

For whatever choice you make, it is guaranteed to be a wise alternative to Episode 3 of Box Not Included - where our hosts discuss A Series of Unfortunate Events - the books, the movie and the new Netflix series.

Heroes never die! And now - they aren't all straight! Hamish Steele and Jade Rose are joined by our first guest, Beastly Beverage's Gabriel, to geek out about Blizzard's online shooter Overwatch! The canon, fanon and ... cannons!

For those who haven't played it, we dissect what the game is all about, some of the characters and how the fandom has grown and in some ways influenced the game itself. We then, of course, talk about Tracer - the game's mascot and first confirmed LGBT representation! Who will be next?

WARNING: The following podcast contains the mention and discussion of homophobic slurs.

Hamish Steele and Jade Rose open up the series with a chat about labels - our own, other peoples, their importance and use and what to call this great big, colourful, wonderful mess that is our community. As well as labels to describe our sexualities and gender, they also dissect the terms "Geek", "Nerd", "Dork" and the increasingly controversial "Gamer".
