Hey BraveCo Men! Tune in as Jay is interviewed on Bethel Church's Transformation Center's podcast: It's Time for Breakthrough.
In this compelling episode, Jason Vallotton takes us on a journey through the often-avoided territory of pain and emotional processing. As men, we're frequently taught to run from pain, to downplay it, or to stuff it down, believing that life is about avoiding discomfort at all costs. But what if the key to true healing and growth lies in doing the exact opposite?
Jason challenges the cultural narrative around pain, explaining the importance of making room for our emotions—whether it’s anger, sadness, grief, guilt, or shame—and how embracing these emotions can lead to profound inner healing.
This episode will dive into the nuances of different types of pain and offer practical steps on how to unpack and process them effectively. True strength isn’t about avoiding pain but about facing it head-on, understanding it, and allowing it to shape us into better, more whole individuals.
Join us as we explore what it means to embrace the unseen parts of our emotional lives and discover the freedom that comes from processing pain with intention and grace. This is an essential conversation for anyone seeking deeper emotional and spiritual health.

ABOUT BRAVECO: We live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood. At BraveCo, we are on a mission to heal the narrative of masculinity across a generation; fighting the good fight together because every man should feel confident and capable of facing his pain, loving deeply, and leading a life that impacts the world around him.
Hey BraveCo men! In this episode, Jay interviews one of his closest friends, Jeff Sawyer, a devoted father of seven daughters, a loyal friend, and a relentless worker. Jeff’s journey is one of remarkable transformation, and we dive deep into his story, uncovering the raw and real experiences that shaped him.
From the chaos of gang fights to the challenges of unexpected pregnancies, Jeff's life has been a whirlwind. He was there in the early days of Bethel Church, witnessing the Holy Spirit move in radical ways. His story begins with a tumultuous childhood, growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness, and a troubled relationship with his mom and stepdad. This led him to the streets, where he quickly became involved in gang life, facing intense struggles and pain.
At sixteen, Jeff’s life took a sharp turn when his girlfriend (now wife), Sue, became pregnant. He threw himself into work to provide, but their move to Redding brought a whole new set of challenges. With confusion, fear, and a marriage on the brink of collapse, Jeff eventually fled to LA, adopting a very different lifestyle and even dating other women.
While Jeff was gone, Sue began attending Kris Vallotton’s home group, where she received a promise of redemption—that Jeff would return. Just as Jeff felt the pull from the Holy Spirit to go back home, he discovered his girlfriend in LA was also pregnant. Tune in to hear how Jeff’s story unfolds and the powerful ways God intervened in his life.

Hey BraveCo Men! Tune in as Jay interviews entrepreneur, Christian influencer, and mental health advocate, Mitchell Miles.
Mitchell grew up immersed in ministry in Tulsa, OK, where he witnessed countless miracles firsthand, including the remarkable healings of his own mother—first from cancer and later from a stroke. Despite facing significant challenges during his middle and high school years, Mitchell found his footing when he ventured into the online marketing space in 2018. By 2020, he had risen to the top 1% of sales reps in his industry. This success led to his recruitment by Closers.io, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, helping scale sales from $1 million to $30 million in under three years.
Shortly after he was promoted to President, stepping down after one year to follow what God called him to do - sharing the message of Jesus and advocating for mental health.
Mitchell believes God wants to reach the millennial and Gen Z generations right now. We’re poised for a global awakening and one of the most prominent issues amongst this group is their mental and emotional health.

Hey BraveCo Men! Listen in as Jay and Cole recap the BraveCo Conference 2024.
Beware, you might feel a little fomo while listening to this episode!
We have all been in conferences where you are glued to your seats, just listening, and as men, it can be tough to participate in this style of learning, where the expectation of massive impact can leave you feeling a bit disappointed.
At BraveCo, the conference model of “come, sit, listen and sing” has been a model we’ve sought to break out of. We’ve been exploring new options for how to engage men in a life-giving way that reforms the standard experience, where men get to feel the strength that comes with being seen, being part of a tribe, and engaging in ministry that is not reserved for the special few, but where the whole team contributes in a significant way.

Hey BraveCo Men! Listen in as Jay is interviewed by Daniel Maddry, Co-Director Moral Revolution of as they cover the fascinating and incredibly relevant topic of relationship anxiety.
So many people experience loads of anxiety in a dating relationship because they didn’t grow up in a home where they felt like they could take risks and fail, or perhaps they never truly felt cared for. Whether you call it dating, courting, getting to know someone, or pursuing a possible future - At Moral Revolution, they don’t think the process should be difficult. Moral Revolution’s goal is to help you walk through the stages of dating with honor, passion, and desire from the first date to the first kiss as husband and wife… and maybe a few rejections in between. Either way, they’ll be walking side by side with you the entire journey.

In this episode, Aaron Zint, leader of The Whole Man Project, and author of Numb to Known, joins Jay to talk about PASSIVITY and how to overcome it. Small steps take you to where you want to go.
Anytime we dodge a challenge, ignore a problem, avoid weakness, or stay in our comfort zones, passivity wins. Passivity lies to us, saying that avoiding action is easier than facing regret. But, every moment of avoidance is a lost chance to grow.
From difficult conversations, physical transformation, to business undertakings, and more, they all begin with tiny steps. You can do hard things!

Hey, BraveCo Men! Listen in for this week’s episode of our “Makings of a Man” series, as Jason interviews pastor, father, and revivalist, Bill Johnson, in this convicting conversation on the core value of faith.
We begin this episode by sharing the inspirational story of the life of Nelson Mandela, whose victory was not just political but also a profound testament to the power of faith and resilience in overcoming oppression and injustice. Arrested for his activism, Mandela spent 27 years in prison, enduring harsh conditions and separation from his family. Mandela's unwavering belief in a better future fueled his resolve, even in the darkest moments. Upon his release, he led a peaceful transition from apartheid to democracy, ultimately becoming South Africa's first black president.
For many of us men, we find ourselves grappling with two types of faith: faith in God, who we are serving, and faith in what we are doing. Having a conviction of what we have been assigned to can sometimes be much easier than living a life in purity of heart—but the ease doesn’t make it right.
There are a lot of men who have faith in the mission and assignment of their lives, but find themselves standing shakily in trusting the One who has led them to their mission or work. We can be committed to our jobs, our assignments, and roles, and not always have purity of heart. When we offer ourselves to the Lord for His glory, we maintain what is precious and invaluable: the constant awareness of God’s presence and Person.
We hope this episode encourages our men to grow in faith, purity of heart, and the celebration of what God is doing.
Bill Johnson is a fifth-generation pastor with a rich heritage in the Holy Spirit. He has been pastor of Bethel Church since 1996 with a one-word mission statement: revival. Bill’s priority in life has been to learn how to host the Presence of God and minister to Him, and in fruit, he has remained passionate about seeing the Kingdom of Heaven invade Earth across all spheres of influence.

Hey, BraveCo Men! Listen in as Jason interviews Tracey Armstrong in this uplifting and empowering conversation on self-reliance in this week’s episode of our “Makings of a Man” series.
In our introduction, we tell the story of self-reliance powerfully demonstrated by renown polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton and his Endurance crew of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. During the Endurance Expedition of 1914-1917, their ship became trapped in a pack of ice as they were crossing the Atlantic. Twenty-two members of the crew remained on Elephant Island as the men endured entrapment and frigid weather. Miraculously and courageously, Ernest was determined to not lose even one of his team members in the process.
After traveling from Elephant Island with two others, to South Georgia Island to organize a rescue mission, Shackleton returned to his crew after over a year stranded in the Antarctic, successfully rescuing all. His leadership ability to keep his crew focused in the midst of adversity has made the Endurance Mission a testament to the human spirit in the midst of adversity.
We all have a problem-solver inside us. The people who lead us are those who pushed past temporary deficiencies. Great leaders are self-reliant not because they want to be, but because they are in a position to do what no one else is willing to do.
This is the kind of self-reliance we need in this season and this generation.
Tracey is a social and economic entrepreneur and a success coach to achievers and wealth builders. Tracey believes God’s people must have spiritual, social and economic influence. He has a powerful voice in the men's movement, prophetic gifting, and in life.
Tracey and his wife, Nathalie, are on the front line of the new generation of “supernaturalists” being raised up in the world today, as pastors of Citadel Church, located in Seattle Washington. Together with their team, they are committed to reach this generation that is asleep spiritually and absent in most churches. Tracey and Nathalie are equipping the emerging generation for spiritual, social and economic influence.
