Hey, BraveCo Men! Listen in as Jason and  Julian Adams engage in a fascinating conversation on nobility in this week’s episode of our “Makings of a Man” series.

The outworking of nobility is made known in the furnace of pressure. What do we do in the moments when we choose to walk in integrity in the workplace, or in laying our lives down for our families? Or, when we choose to lean into a decision that will likely work against us, but conviction says to do it regardless? Nobility makes decisions that are consistent with the character of Jesus, and is formed when no one is looking. 

Julian is a director of Frequentsee and leader of The Table Boston church-plant. He is an author, spiritual advisor, revelatory teacher and leadership consultant in political, business and creative spheres. An internationally recognised prophet, Julian has a proven track record in the fulfillment of words released over individuals, communities and nations. He is a director for NEWDAY United, a charity based in South Africa and England that serves the poor and vulnerable in Southern Africa.

In our introduction we tell the story of true nobility. Sir Nicholas Winton was known for organizing the rescue of 669 Czech children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia during the 9 months before war broke out in 1939. He died on 1st July 2015 aged 106.

His story is told in a new film, One Life, based on his biography of the same name, written by his daughter Barbara. One Life is released in UK cinemas on 1 January 2024, and worldwide in 2024.

Jeff Kemp is a quarterback for the family. He is an Ivy League graduate who played 11 seasons as a Quarterback in the National Football League with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco Forty-Niners, Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles. 

In 2012 Jeff joined FamilyLife as a Vice President and Catalyst for helping others strengthen families. FamilyLife, based in Little Rock, AR. is a national ministry leader in resources to build and enrich marriages and families along with radio outreach, marriage conferences and other resources to heal and strengthen families. We’re in the middle of our “Makings of a Man” series, and in this episode, Jay sits down with a true treasure of a man who has demonstrated tremendous honor: NFL Superbowl Champion, Steve Weatherford. 

Steven Thomas Weatherford is a former American football punter. He played college football at Illinois and was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2006. Weatherford was also a member of the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, and New York Giants. Honor is one of Steve’s top core values, and one of the best at raising men, and raising champions. 

Who are you choosing to serve with your time, talents, and treasures? For Steve, honor means to make life about God and other people. Steve shares how his identity was transformed by Christ, shifting towards a Kingdom mindset through core values of honor, integrity, and accountability. There is a difference between trying to get into heaven, and living accountable to what God has given us to steward well during our time on earth. 

If you apply honor to anything, it’s going to work the way God designed it to work.

Repentance makes you clean, but confession brings freedom.

In this episode, Jay sits down with Dave Harvey, where Dave shares the recent upgrades experienced through the gateway of honesty that comes with grief and pain, without blanketing over wounds and offense. 

When we are honest with our wounds, and allow God to meet us in those areas, we can show up clean and strong as sons, brothers, husbands, fathers, and leaders. God desires for us to deal with our pain, and work through forgiveness–not in theory, but in true freedom.
