  • If It Talks Like A Duck
Pastor Jeremy continues his, It Just Might Be Faith, series on Sunday in Glendive.

James 3:3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that
they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4 Look
also at ships: although they are so large and are driven
by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder
wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a
little member and boasts great things.

Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the
tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Example of Moses - Children of Israel - Caleb

Ex. 3:16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and
say to them, ‘The LORD God of your fathers, the God of
Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me,
saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done
to you in Egypt; 17 and I have said I will bring you up out
of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites
and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and
the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk
    and honey.”

    What Doubt Sounds Like
    1. Ex 14:11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there
were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to
die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with
us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the
word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us
alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it
would have been better for us to serve the
Egyptians than that we should die in the
    wilderness.”
    2. Ex 15:24 And the people complained against
Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
    3. Ex 16:2 Then the whole congregation of the
children of Israel complained against Moses and
Aaron in the wilderness. 3 And the children of
Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the
hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat
by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the
full! For you have brought us out into this
wilderness to kill this whole assembly with
    hunger.”
    4. Ex 17:3 And the people thirsted there for water,
and the people complained against Moses, and
said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of
Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock
    with thirst?”
    5. Num 11:4 Now the mixed multitude who were
among them yielded to intense craving; so the
children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who
will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish
which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the
melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; 6 but
now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing
at all except this manna before our eyes!”
    6. Num 14:1 So all the congregation lifted up their
voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2
And all the children of Israel complained against
Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation
said to them, “If only we had died in the land of
Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

    What Faith Sounds Like
    1. Num 13:30 Then Caleb quieted the people before
Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take
possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
    2. Num 14:6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb
the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who
had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and
they spoke to all the congregation of the children
of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to
spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the LORD
delights in us, then He will bring us into this land
and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and
honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor
    fear the people of the land, for they are our bread;
their protection has departed from them, and the
LORD is with us. Do not fear them.”
    3. Joshua 14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as on
the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength
was then, so now is my strength for war, both for
going out and for coming in. 12 Now therefore,
give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in
that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim
were there, and that the cities were great and
fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me,
and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD
    said.”

  • Intro To Prayer - Part 5
Pastor Jeremy shares Wednesday in Glendive.

Matt 6:10 ...Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
    ● This is our declaration of committing our lives, our
decisions, our thoughts, our speech and our
actions to pursuing His life, His decisions, His
thoughts, His speech and His actions.
    ○ Jesus said in John chapter 6 “I came to do the
will of the One who sent Me”
    ○ In John 5 Jesus says “I only do what I see My
    Father do”
    ○ In John 12 He says “I speak just as the Father
    has told me to speak”
    ● Mark 3:33-35 But He answered them, saying,
“Who is My mother, or My brothers?” 34 And He
looked around in a circle at those who sat about
Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My
brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is
My brother and My sister and mother.”
    ● We have the ability TO do the will of God, or NOT
    do will of God.
    ○ 1 Thes 4:3 For this is the will of God, your
sanctification: that you should abstain from
sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should
know how to possess his own vessel in
sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of
    lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6 that no one should take advantage of and
defraud his brother in this matter, because
the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also
forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did
not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8
Therefore he who rejects this does not reject
man, but God, who has also given us His
    Holy Spirit.
    ○ 1 Thes 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without
ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this
is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
    ○ 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning
His promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any
should perish but that all should come to
    repentance.
    ○ 1 Tim 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that
    supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for
kings and all who are in authority, that we
may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good
and acceptable in the sight of God our
Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved
and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
    ● Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.
    ○ The will of God is not a mystery...it is
    contained in His Word.
    ○ This is our time in prayer to speak the Word.

  • If It Walks Like A Duck
Pastor Jeremy shares Sunday in Glendive.

2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and
that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Even when I don’t see it
    ● Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
    ● “I will see it when I believe it” - faith
    ● Imagining something before it becomes reality
    ● Heb 11:7 Noah - builds an ark

Obeying God when you don’t understand
    ● Heb 11:8 Abraham - left his own country without
knowing where he was going...reset button at 75.
    ● Heb 11:29 Red Sea - dry ground, wall of water
Persisting when I don’t feel like it
    ● Heb 11:27 Moses left egypt
    ● Feelings are not trustworthy
    ● Your mood wants to manipulate you
    ● Gal 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing
good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not
    lose heart.
    ● Great people are ordinary people, who persist in
doing things other people don’t want to do.
    ● It’s always the right time to forgive, it’s always the
right time to walk in love, it’s always the right time
to be kind, it’s always the right time to act like the
    Bible is true.

Announcing in advance before I have it
    ● Heb 11:22 Joseph confidently spoke...don’t leave
by bones here...we will inherit the promised land.
    ● Rom 4:17 (as it is written, “I have made you a
father of many nations”) in the presence of Him
whom he believed—God, who gives life to the
dead and calls those things which do not exist as
    though they did;
    ● Rom 4:17b (TLB) God speaks of future events with
as much certainty as though they were already
    past

Trusting if I don’t receive it
    ● Heb 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good
testimony through faith, did not receive the
    promise,
    ● Faith believes God regardless of circumstances or
    outcomes.
