Breaking the Silence episodes

  • Breaking Free from the Victim Story

Hey friend, if you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of victimhood, like life’s circumstances have defined who you are or what you’re capable of, this episode is for you. Today, we’re having an honest heart-to-heart about how easy it is to get caught up in that story—and how it’s not the end of the road. I want to remind you (and myself!) that we get to decide to choose something different. God isn’t done with us, no matter how far we’ve wandered. He still has purpose in our pain, and our story can still be turned into something beautiful.

I hope this conversation sparks something deep inside you, that you feel the urgency to take action and step into the life you were made for. And if you know someone who’s struggling to break free from their own story, share this episode with them. Let’s encourage each other to rise up and live in the freedom we’re meant to have. It’s never too late for God to make something beautiful out of our mess.

Grab a cup of coffee, and let's talk about it.

  • Unworthy to Unstoppable: Journey to Redemption

In this episode, I share my personal testimony of how God took me from a place of brokenness and unworthiness to a life of purpose and transformation. Drawing inspiration from other unlikely heroes such as Moses, David, Rahab, Peter & Paul that all seemed unworthy. I reflect on how God can use anyone—no matter their past—for His divine purposes. Join me as I explore the amazing grace that turned a former enemy of the faith into a bold proclaimer of the Gospel and how this same grace has been evident in my own journey. If you've ever felt unqualified or too far gone, this episode is a reminder that with God, no one is beyond redemption.

  • The Thanksgiving I'll Never Forget: Navigating Grief and New Beginnings

In this heartfelt episode, I share the deeply personal experience of what Thankgiving looked like three years ago when Dave was in the hospital. It was a Thanksgiving I’ll never forget—a bittersweet mix of love, loss, and the kind of grief that makes you question everything. But through the pain, I’ve learning something powerful: it’s okay to create new traditions, to allow yourself to feel both joy and grief at the same time, and to move forward with an open heart. If you’re navigating your own difficult moments, this episode is a gentle reminder that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It’s about finding new ways to love, to honor what’s passed, and to open yourself up to joy again, even in the toughest of times. I hope this episode brings a little peace, understanding, and maybe even a spark of hope for your own journey. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. So much love.

  • When God Hears Every Word: Trusting in His Will Through Prayer

In this episode, I share my journey of prayer—how God hears every prayer we lift, even when the answers aren’t what we hoped for. Inspired by my pastor’s challenge to pray three times a day for 21 days, and then how God just met me in such a sweet way in regards to those prayers. From that challenge I’ve embraced a rhythm of prayer that continues to shape my faith. Together, we’ll explore the beauty of surrendering to God’s will and the comforting truth in Daniel 9:23: that He hears and responds. Let’s discover how perseverance in prayer strengthens our relationship with Him, even in life’s uncertainties.
