It’s been a wild few years for the world’s best disability golfer, Brendan Lawlor. Since signing for Modest! Golf, Brendan's rise to World #1 has been meteoric, but he hasn't forgotten where he comes from and always strives to bring the sport of disability golf along the journey with him.
The Louth man has had some mind-blowing encounters, from hanging out with Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, JT and others, to meeting Tiger Woods. The game of golf has been very good to Brendan in return for all the great work he is doing for it.
Brendan spoke to Jonny about being born with, amongst other things, a hole in his heart, and how this has made him a fighter in all aspects of life.
At the Horizon Irish Open Brendan was constantly asked for autographs and selfies as the world of golf sees and appreciates Brendan for the brilliant talent and man that he is.
As you'd expect, Brendan is taking life in his stride, and why wouldn't you? The 25-year old funny man and ferocious talent continues to dream big with talk of World Tours, Paralympics firmly on the agenda.
