David was a very popular Mayor of Toronto for three terms, elected as the last center right MP from downtown Toronto, served as a Cabinet Minister, ran for PC leadership and headed numerous waterfront oriented organizations in Toronto. His views on the development of our waterfront are visionary and his thoughts on the current dispute between moderates and extremists in the Conservative Party are sobering. We discuss his political life, Toronto’s waterfront, affordable housing, amalgamation and that his Progressive Conservative party is dead and gone and that he thinks a smaller only right wing conservative is bad for conservatives and Canada.

He and his team provide public opinion measurement, interpretation, and advice and counsel to senior executives and public affairs/public relations leaders. He’s a nationally known figure and a much sought-after speaker with over three decades of expertise in public opinion and market research, global polling, public and corporate affairs strategy, communications, branding, and media relations. We talked about polls showing most Canadians agree that the non-vaccinated should have to pay more for health care.

Brian interviews Anita Nowak. Anita, PhD, is an empathy expert, two-time TEDx speaker, podcaster, award-winning educator and Fellow with the International Women’s Forum. She is passionate about leveraging empathy for personal, organizational and social transformation. For the past fifteen years, Anita has held various leadership roles in higher education at McGill University dedicated to social innovation. She teaches Leadership, Ethics in Management and Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation. She was named Professor of the Year in 2014 and 2019.

Brian interviews Sandra Ketchen. Sandra is the President and CEO of Spectrum Health Care, one of the largest providers of home care and specialized services in Ontario. We discuss the growing demand for home health care as more elderly want to stay in their homes, the challenges presented by COVID-19, being a female CEO and the lessons her Dad taught her about leadership. She has a proven track record of using data and technology to drive outcomes that matter to patients and their families. She is an advocate for integrated care solutions that give patients control over where they receive care and how they age.

Brian has a panel to discuss the Bradford Bypass highway proposed by the Ontario Conservative government, along with Hwy 413, density vs sprawl, farmland vs new homes, transit vs highways and several other tropical issues with a great panel, one a liberal and the other a Tory. His panelists are:

Brian speaks with Charles Burton. Charles is a Senior Fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, and Non-Resident Senior Fellow, European Values Center for Security Policy. He taught politics for two decades at Brock. Charles believes Canada is at a watershed moment as we come out of the pandemic and need to set a new direction, a new identity for our Nation. He talks about his recently published column and his belief that we need strong charismatic new leadership.

Brian speaks with Madeleine Lamont. Madeleine is an incredibly talented Toronto artist. She has exhibited her work in museums and galleries both nationally and internationally and has been the recipient of grants and awards, from the Toronto Arts Council, the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Arts Council. She has received public commissions from the Art On Public Lands, Visual Arts Centre of Clarington and the Koffler Gallery in Toronto. Her work is in numerous private and public collections. Most notably her painting Standing Bear, from the Night Elegy exhibition, Christine Klassen Gallery, 2015, was purchased by the Government of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs to be installed in the New Nato Chancery Building in Brussels Belgium.

Brian interviews Ted Woloshyn. Ted is a Toronto broadcaster. He hosted The Ted Woloshyn Show, mornings from 5:30 to 8:30 on CFRB-AM in Toronto, from 3 November 1996 until 15 December 2006. He hosted Saturdays with Ted from 12 to 3pm on Newstalk1010 from 2010 until 2021. He received a Juno Award nomination for Comedy Album of the Year. We talked about his career in broadcasting, some of his most memorable times, and interviews, what he thinks about the future of radio and some reflections on Mississauga, his home town.
