The 15th BRICS Summit has just concluded. Critics and a chorus of bleak voices are prophesying a gloomy future, and the West asks, "What's the point of BRICS?" Is BRICS a "motley crew", as described by some western media, with little in common? Or is BRICS, by expanding with more countries, pointing the way to a new kind of grouping that breaks away from the "small circle" mindset of the West?
