More chat about the latest VARce at Smellhurst, about Albion supportership and the Fan Advisory Board, in the company of debutants Clive Steed and Nigel Summers, both of FAB, amongst other things.
All this talk took place on a tour of 3 of South London’s finest taverns, whereupon another visit South was cunningly conceived for future poddage and mischief-making!

And so to the worst ground in the Premier League once again for a regulation 1-1 draw! That’s four times in a row now, and while we’ve had the better of them in most of those recent visits, in terms of matchplay, we don’t think we’ve ever seen quite such a dominant performance by Albion. All the more galling and frustrating then to come away with only a share of the spoils.
At least we weren’t subject to yet another point-depriving dodgy decision though. Yes, imagine if that were to happen yet again. Yes, we know it’s unrealistic but just try!
Stand or fall! UTA! Should we draw the line under VAR? Don’t get Brooks to do it then!

Your regular co-hosting duo are back to rant about Real, Barca, Juve, Man City, Grouchy Pep, The Saudis, Leeds, Huddersfield, the on-going Albion transfer speculation circus - now onto Mitoma to Arsenal for £35m 😂😂😂 - and then a preview of the latest incarnation of the Scum v Good Guys rivalry this weekend!
Stand or fall! UTA! Hark now hear!…

After a quick bit of opinion pre-match at Falmer from Saturday, Russell welcomed The Gent back to give his (just past) half term report on The Albion’s season, his thoughts on De Zerbi Ball, Caicedo and the transfer window, the controversy at Mancashter Sheiky and of course analysis of Saturday’s latest victory, achieved thanks to another late winner from the man of the day, Kaoru Mitoma, who was being watched by Japanese TV staff and a plethora of Japanese fans!
Stand or fall! UTA! Cracking nuts!

Lots of “weird flips on the usual” this week: we podded from a new venue, thus spawning the new temporary nickname of The Pembury Taverners; Matthew, who we had on before only on Zoom, joined us in person at the pub (as did Laurence and QPR-supporting debutant Ed); and The Albion turned down three bags of mega cash from PL heavyweights.
There’s also plenty of chat about the wider window, Caicedo’s awful advice-giving new agent and his mercenary faux-journo buddy, Albion’s second win in a fortnight against The Scousers, the women’s great cup triumph over the ‘other’ Albion, the permanent look of confusion on the face of Jürgen Klopp, loan watch and football fans being Villafied[sic]
Stand or fall! UTA! Down with bad advice and football leeches (that includes you Not-So-Fab’ Romano!).

Al and Nick took over hosting duties for the latest match day special, in which the mighty Albion, despite an absence of a certain Mr Moisés Caicedo, still took the spoils as Albion made it back to back victories in a fortnight against the mighty Liverpool Football Club.
Some of the familiar voices were back too, namely Duncan, IFP, Alan, Alison and Ahmed, plus Alison’s dad!
Next on the Cup hitlist: Stoke City!
Stand or fall! UTA! Can we do it in a cold midweek evening in Stoke?!

Another bumper episode as the boys had PLENTY to talk about re: not only the Leicester game, but also transfers, sackings, controversy galore and the latest on Moises Caicedo and the Chelsea stalkers!….and all this recorded before Arsenal made a low bid and Moises handed in a transfer request!!! We’ll talk about that next time!
Stand or fall! UTA! F*** off Chelsea…again!!!

In this bumper episode, justifiable for the pure glory of our scintillating win on Saturday, Russ and Pete co-hosted a strong Pod Squad comprising Andy Bass, Andy Bravery and Alan Dodd. Plenty was said on the magnificence of the performance at the weekend, on the transformative qualities of Roberto De Zerbi and on the fact that as Andy Bass said, “we are just so good it’s ridiculous!”.
As well as commenting on the match, the guys reflected on Leandro Trossard‘s absence from the club and his seemingly looming departure, other transfer matters pertaining to The Albion, a round up of the other main talking points from the weekend and Russell’s latest pop at “the tin pot pundits” who plague part our media.
We also reflect on the sad news that Enoch Mwepu was taken ill with his heart related issue over in Zambia. We wish him the very best for a full and speedy recover
Stand or fall! UTA! World’s best?! 😉 We love you, Enoch! 💙

In this latest episode, a general catch up including Robin’s thoughts on his first-hand witnessing of the thrashing of Boro, or Middlesborg as RDZ likes to call it! and a welcome to another debutant, Russell’s Film Fives https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/film-fives/id1554601490 cohort Phil Newman esq.

Guest host Alastair and fellow Greater Manchester based Seagulls Nick and Dom provide the coverage as Albion roasted the turkeys that currently seem to be Everton, maintaining the team’s excellent away form. Kaoru, Evan and Pascal were again amongst the scorers as we romped to victory on another milestone night.
The only disappointment came in conceding a late pen, a mistake which Spurs however DID avoid as they ran out 0-4 winners at Selhurst the following day 😉
Stand or fall! UTA! I bloody love football sometimes!!!
