In this episode, regular hosts Russ and Pete get together on Zoom to review the Saints game and reflect on other matters, such as the Charlton ticket fiasco, The World Cup, the appointment of a new women’s coach at The Albion, how our loanees are getting on and in the episode’s epilogue, reflect on the sad passing of a titan of the game, and possibly its finest ever player, Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, a.k.a Pelé.
All this comes after our MDS from The Valley as Albion bowed out on pens 🤦🏻♂️
Stand or fall! UTA! RIP King! ⚽️ G.O.A.T 🐐

It’s been a while so here’s our latest episode, comprising Pete and I traipsing around the country ticking off grounds during the PL break - with mixed success, commenting on the genesis of the World Cup tournament, lamenting England’s latest exit and then for our main feature, welcoming onto the pod returning Albion and England fans Chris and Janet Jonas after their 4 week journey to the Middle East to follow The Three Lions.
And then there had to be a quick word about THAT final and Señor Max Allister’s triumphant performance on world football’s biggest stage of all…The World Cup Final!!! 💙🏆💙

Russ was delighted to welcome back Stateside friend of the pod Amir Jafari who’s currently enjoying the World Cup, a tournament in which his native and citizenship nations Iran and USA respectively come up against each other AND England in Group B.
There’s plenty to discuss including the situation in Iran and with regards to the tense fan / team relationship, thoughts on the FIFA Sham World Cup, the football so far, the prospects of a young, up-and-coming US team and of course the ongoing developments at Albion, Amir’s adopted English team of 5 years.
Stand or fall! UTA! Today I feel…critical. Today I feel…ready to strangle Infantino!

It’s Russ. It’s Pete (and his lovely wife Fiona) in a taproom (surprise, surprise) talking beer and guzzling nonsense - or something like that. Oh and there’s FIFA and Qatar rants again!
Stand or fall! UTA! Shut up, Infantino, you patronising and condescending embarrassment!

In this bumper episode, Russ and Pete are joined by sports writer, journalist and Albion fan Spencer Vignes and regular guest contributor Andy Bass to discuss the Villa match, Spencer‘s new book about two firm friends and former colleagues at the Albion and the upcoming sham that is the Qatari World Cup.
Stand or fall! UTA! F*^# FIFA!!!

All the chat from up at The Emirates as The Mighty Albion got another thoroughly De Zerbied victory on North London soil.
Then on the Saturday, Pete and Russ went ground hopping to Sutton and took time to talk about the Arsenal game and to have one final rant (for now! 😉) about Graham ‘Easy Life’ Potter!

No time to talk about Albion’s latest win! We’ll cover that later, as this episode sees our first ever players’ wives and girlfriends guest join us, namely Alexis Mac Allister’s charming ‘other half’ Camila Mayan.
On Monday, Russell met up with her in Brighton to chat about her experiences coming over to England to join up with Alexis in the middle of the pandemic of 2020, what’s she’s made of life in Brighton, why the cafes close too early! and whether Mac gets grumpy after a bad game - not that he has many of those!!! All this and more!
Stand or fall! Up The Albion! We love you, Camila!

A bumper cast of characters, namely Russ, Pete, Andy Bravery, Andy Knott and Alan, descended on Brighton Rock Towers to celebrate the pod’s 250th episode milestone and THAT win vs Chelsea, in the aftermath of a right old post-match row over the vigorous and sustained booing of the club’s recent but now estranged heroes.
Russ invented a new word, “ramblage” and I think Peter may have popped one on there too!
There’s some first rate ranting to be had about swollen media imbeciles Andy Jacobs, Jamie O’Hara and Garth Crooks too, not that we like to rant on this platform, you understand! 😉
Stand or fall! UTA! F*^#ing booooo!

Pete and Russ buggered off to Newport in Wales to tick off their shared 85th ground visited out of The 92. So after a brief intro from there the pod went off to Manchester in the company of guest MDS host Alastair, who spoke with (now local to there) friend of the show Dominic Wales and (already long standing local to there) Nick Ansley - his niece is a Team GB hockey star, you know!
After all that, Russ cast a critical - and we mean critical - eye over the game, having watched the 90 mins in full via Sky’s selection of it as game of the day.
Stand or Fall! UTA! P*ss right off Lee Mason and Craig Pawson!!!
