BringJoy

Why are so many people hung up on digging their feet in ---------on one side or the other?
I dare you . Just release your feet -----No need to levitate to find common ground.

Most of my listeners know I side hustle as a wedding officiant.  This year couples have tied the knot in record numbers, tune in to hear the season's sweet highlights.  Weddings are one of life's big events that fill your heart --but we also experience events that break our hearts.  Is it possible the takeaway is the same?

I recently received a greeting card in the mail and the message was simple, Life is crazy good - and your part of it!  Grab a pencil and a paper - set a timer for 7 minutes and write down all the things that pop in your head when you say “Life is Crazy Good”.  Bet you run out of paper and time before your list is done.  That’s what happened to me.

Come on take a bike ride with me around my Island city.  I want to show you the corners -stones can’t be moved.  Like Jenga - Take one for granted, we all crumble.

I know I live in paradise, the sun shines through the rain. I’m surrounded by bold and beautiful people. I’m grateful to call Key West home.  Wherever your home town is,  take a ride, notice the corners, the businesses, the people, the things that make your home town uniquely yours.

When was the last time you connected with you?  If you’re like me - it’s probably been a while. So I challenge you to spend some time looking at yourself.  Right in your eyes - nowhere to hide.  Do it soon - today, tomorrow, or next Tuesday - but don’t wait too long. Not talking about a Selfie either that you Critic till delete, Or filter for likes.  I’m talking about the 3D you.  Find a mirror and look at yourself 1 minute 2 minute 3 minute, Whatever works for you.  It's a little comfortable at first until a  conversation begins to unfold not sure what to say - you can start with hello - It’s nice to see you.

Everywhere I turn around I see the word stuck.  Google the word and 653,000 hits come back.  There is a library full of self-help books about being stuck.  Hell Oprah and Deepak hosted a 21-day meditation series, Titled  “Get Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life". How do I know cause I tuned in like a teacher's pet in the front row- for 3 weeks!   Good stuff there - even those two powerhouses couldn’t knock me off the block.

The sequel everyone has been asking for since episode one.  Here is your chance to hear how things are going with the most interesting DOG in the world, Tito!    Tito and I were matched by Pawadise Pet Rescue, after a couple of rejects in the adoption process in 2020. I'll share stories and lessons I'm learning from him  that you can all appreciate.

This is also the season 2 opener.  Thanks for returning listeners and welcome to anyone tuning in for the first time.

It will be time well spent.  I promise you that!

I’ve got a list of goals going for the new year, including continuing the podcast,  but before I make them official I thought it would be cool to do a recap of episodes of the BringJoy podcast in 2020.  So turn up the volume and spend a few minutes with me on ----rewind.
