Advice I Would Give To 21 Year Old Chris …

So I received a private message (PM) on Facebook with the following question:

Chris, If you could go back in time and speak to your 21-year-old self... what advice will you give?

I thought long and hard about this as I figured the person asking, was also seeking advice from my experiences and perspective as a 43 year old man. I also thought, you know what…

This is a perfect topic for this weeks blog post and Podcast episode …

So that is how this post, Podcast episode and piece of advice came to fruition…

Remember, this is advice given to a younger version of myself and whilst the advice I give in this may not be applicable to everybody, I am sure some of you may be able to take positives and learn from some of my experiences within this post.

So where was I at, within my life at 21?

I had left school at 16 with minimal qualifications

At 21 - You do NOT know it al!!

You may think you do…

You may feel like the smartest person in the room

Trust me, you’re not!

Keep your mouth closed more often and your eyes and ears open a lot more. Watch, listen and learn… That way you’ll learn and grow a lot more!

Gain what extra qualifications you can along the way. Your personal education is one of the most important things you can focus on. Always be looking for ways you can grow and expand your knowledge and never stop learning.

Be willing to study, read and learn from everybody no matter who they are. You can always learn something from everybody and apply this into your life.

Today I am discussing the ONE thing made a massive difference in my online business

Using this, I was able to generate $43,750.10 on ONE platform.

I have made more in other accounts and in other platforms.

I just wanted to let that sink in for a second…

That’s just shy of $44,000!

So it’s that POWERFUL…

What is even better is that the part that made the difference now only take me 20 minutes to do.

Now I am NOT saying it is 20 minutes to generating that style of income. No, I am saying the part that made the difference, and the part I attribute to driving my business now only take me 20 minutes.

I still have a bit of work to do, but when I spend this 20 minutes or so, then that leaves me knowing what it is I need to be doing, I know what it is people are seeking and I simply work towards giving it to them.

it's NOT worth it at times.

YET the exact SAME content can be used to it's maximum.

Let's take the same blog post.

Now you go and create an Audio version of it - just like this Podcast.

How long would that take once the content is created?

Maybe an extra 20 minutes..?

Yet, you have now created content that you can upload and use to get in front of a DIFFERENT audience!

Then take the same content and create a YouTube video.

ANOTHER PLATFORM and another new audience.

Are you starting to see the Ninja tricks here?

After spending time in one of the many sessions within the marketing event in Portugal I was left with an aha moment...

The thing about the session was it was very personal to each and every person that took part.

I am talking around 40 top marketers speaking one to one on a personal and emotional level.

I mean REALLY connecting...

Revealing their innermost desires, fears and what is holding them back in their business.

What did I take away from that session?

The main thing I realised was that everybody, no matter ho successful their business has fears and things that hold them back.

Everybody has very similar feelings about themselves, how they socialise and connect with others.

Basically what I took away from that session was that as IM'ers we all have the same frustrations, fears, desires and things that hold us back.

We all have the same battle going on internally!

...YET

There were others there who are successful, have successful businesses and they are experiencing the exact same issues.

So I sat back and thought about this...

You may not have realised it, but industry events can be the difference between seeing success and not...

I 100% believe that everyone MUST get to industry events as often as they possibly can.

That is why I have titled todays post:

If you have been following along with my journey, then you will know that over the last few blog posts I have told you that I was going to Portugal to attend an industry event.

I even automated last weeks Podcast and blog post as I knew that I would be travelling and therefore unable to record and publish my weekly post in time for my followers.

Hence why I batch processed episodes and scheduled the content to go live.

I am now home from my event and I had an AMAZING time!
