They've saved the Sparrows from becoming snake food, but our heroes have to stop the army marching on the Center of the Dreamcatcher: an army led by the heroes of the Five Cities, their former colleagues! They've got to marshal all their strength to stop the Nepenthe from reaching the center. While Mugen heads off to the war council to prepare their defenses, Junkman heads back to the mountaintop to meet the Sparrow-of-Sparrows to collect on his end of their bargain--reuniting with his long-lost half-self!

Our heroes have met a Sparrow-of-Sparrows on a mountainside in Maximilian Pollard's closet--and they want answers. But before they can investigate this strange world, they've got to deal with their poor pal Snoof, the tiger-man who's feeling a lot more tiger than man these days. Is Snoof still in there? What secrets does this Sparrow of the Sparrows hide? And will they be able to stop whatever ritual has all Maximilian's followers glowing in the town square?

They haven't been in the Center of the Dreamcatcher for long, but our heroes already have a party to crash. The host is an old friend of theirs from the Cities, Maximillian Pollard--but there's no love lost between him and the army of City soldiers thundering on the horizon. He claims he has a plan to turn them back, but our heroes know better than to trust his schemes. Can they get to the bottom of the Sparrow's plot in time?

At long last, our heroes have made it to the center of the Dreamcatcher--but at a terrible cost. Kvasir has reached the center, all so the devil-snake Redfern can worm his way closer to the ultimate power of creation. Maximilian Pollard and his Sparrows are here too, and they're up to something... Can they save the world, save their friends, or even save themselves?

Lawyers no more, our heroes have one thing left on the itinerary before leaving the Cave of Hypnos: defeating the Yuki-onna! As blizzard winds sweep the courtroom, the enchanted drifts start piling up on the jury of their peers.
