  • Being Consistent Gets Results

The only way to get results, be consistent.

Especially when it doesn't feel "good" or comfortable, follow through.

In this episode I discuss why we rather opt out but being an adult involves doing things when you're not 100% bought in.

Where have you been consistent in your life? What results would you like to create in your life? What will it take to get where you want?

  • Emotional Freedom and Trauma with Jess Johnson

Emotional Freedom and Trauma with Jess Johnson, a clinical social worker and veteran. She has taught me how to accept and embrace my own feelings of anxiety and I knew you would love to hear her thoughts on trauma and the value of healing.

As a former therapist and U.S. Army Veteran with a career that began working in corrections, there’s nothing she hasn’t seen, heard, or smelled, allowing her to hold space for even the most complicated headspaces.

She harnesses those skills in her work as a Life Coach for Life Coaches and Practitioners, combining mindset management with the energy modality EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, most commonly referred to as “tapping”) to help her clients create a process for feeling and understanding  their emotions so they can think clearly and get shit done.

  • Truth Bomb- Working on YOU is NOT Detrimental to your Relationships

A client once said, working on me will hurt my marriage. I was super surprised initially but after some thought understood exactly why she believed that.

Historically speaking, women advocating for themselves has been viewed as selfish and unhelpful the unity of a family unit. This is true for your role as a daughter, wife, mother, and even employee.

Of course people who have been benefitting from your non-confrontational, sacrificial lamb personality will have opinions when you decide you no longer want to be a punching bag.

But they are allowed to have an opinion and you're allowed to ignore it. This whole time you have built anger, frustration, and resentment in your relationship. Why not try to have a real relationship that you actually enjoy and look forward to.

It's time to show up ALIVE for the first time in decades.

  • Point me to First Class with Dr. Devon Gimbel

Are you a first class person or is it just a one day I will be? In today's episode we discuss the untapped potential of credit card points and the possibilities with travel. Dr. Devon Gimble joins me to share her tips and knowledge about a world I never knew existed.

Devon is a double-board certified physician and founder and owner of Point Me To First Class, a business that helps employed professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners with high personal and/or business expenses earn tons of credit card points to travel the world in luxury. She believes that your expenses are your greatest asset - if you know how to leverage them. Devon is on a mission to help thousands of women travel more, travel better, and travel often using credit card points.

We discuss why women, and in particular women of color, don't sit in the front of the plane or even aspire to do so. My 1st first class trip was less than a year ago after the age of 40 and a decade and a half in a high demand career. It's interesting to uncover the obstacles and barriers we create for ourselves and how to overcome them to live our best life now.
