Bryn Meyer was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court and field. What she loves most about high school sports is being able to compete with her friends to make the sports more fun. She has also been able to make many new friends through sports and she is happy to make those connections. She is grateful for sports because they have taught her how to work together with others and how to achieve goals as a team. Bryn competes in basketball, track and field, and trap shooting. She is also the secretary for her school's National Honor Society. Outside of school and sports, Bryn is involved in 4-H and helps coach youth basketball players in a camp every Sunday. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Show Pig Association. To Bryn, agriculture is a huge part of her life. Showing livestock has given her confidence in herself and has taught her how to work hard. She is thankful that the industry has allowed her to meet so many people through showing. One of her favorite parts about showing livestock is that she can do it with her family. Growing up in agriculture has taught her so many life lessons that she will value and use to be successful for the rest of her life. After graduating high school, Bryn plans on attending Loras College to continue track and field and major in pre-vet.

Ashton Brusveen was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and court. What he loves most about high school sports is how it is a great way to challenge himself, stay active, and bond with teammates. He loves the thrill of competition whether win or lose. Extracurricular activities have been a major part of his high school experience. Through the many different meetings, contests, and games, he has developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills that will serve him well in the future. Ashton competes in basketball, football, and track and field. He is involved with the National Honor Society as the vice president, Cambria-Friesland Forensics, Student Council as the president, and Future Business Leaders of America. Ashton is also heavily involved in his community. He has volunteered at many activities including the Wisconsin Agricultural Youth Council, Youth Leadership Board Adams Columbia Electric Cooperative, NHS Red Cross blood drives, FFA & Hilltopper Football Corn Carnival. He also participated in the Student Council highway cleanup, Brie Shed Educational Day, spring cleanup for local communities, Columbia County FFA breakfast, 4H June Dairy Days breakfast, and set up the Dump Run. Growing up on a farm, Ashton has gained hands-on experience in grain handling, crop marketing, and customer relations by working alongside his grandfather and father. As a third-generation farmer, his passion for grain farming stems from the opportunities and work ethic his grandparents instilled in him. These experiences have shown him the importance of hard work, problem-solving, and building relationships in agriculture. His community service experience has made a big impact on life skills, but it has also shown him the importance of being a role model for younger members. Over the past four years, Ashton has built and grown his business, Seed Clean, where he purchases, cleans, and resells bulk seed for cover crops. After graduating high school, he plans to continue expanding his business while attending UW-Platteville for agribusiness with an emphasis on commodity and price analysis to prepare for a career in grain production or agricultural sales.

Tristan Geditz was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court and field. The thing she loves most about high school sports is knowing that she is working hard at something she truly cares about, which can be very satisfying. High school sports have taught her many life lessons such as working together with a group of people to accomplish a common goal. She enjoys spending time with her teammates and working to improve her athletic ability. She also loves to represent her school and community in a positive sportsman-like manner. Tristan competes in basketball, volleyball, and track and field. She participates in football stats, assisting in youth basketball, and Ipswich student council. In her community, Tristan is involved in a church youth group, Ipswich trails days, refereeing basketball tournaments, and assisting wrestling meets. It is difficult for Tristan to describe what agriculture means to her because it is a big part of her life considering she has lived on a farm her entire life and helped on other family farms in the area. Therefore, saying that agriculture is a huge part of her life is an understatement. Although only a sophomore in high school, Tristan expressed how being nominated for this award is a great honor. She is very humble and grateful to be considered for this award. She always puts 100% of everything into all that she does. She plays with a lot of heart and effort, this is no different from how she has lived her life outside of athletics, especially her agriculture and community-related experiences.

Hunter Muehlfeld was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and court. What he loves most about high school sports is the sense of community and family it creates. There is an amazing energy around the games, where students, families, and even alumni come together to support their teams. It’s not just about the competition—it’s about school spirit, personal growth, and the friendships that form along the way. He also believes it is inspiring to see athletes who are balancing academics and their sports careers, really showing determination and resilience. Hunter competes in soccer, basketball, and baseball. He is also involved in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and an internship program where he is interning at AC Schroder Farms and E&R Hogs. He has been a scholar athlete in all three sports for the last 4 years as well as a NWOAL scholar athlete as a senior. Outside of school and sports, Hunter participates in Heartland 4H and shows pigs at his local fair. He volunteers for various events his community holds with the National Honor Society, such as an annual Easter egg hunt, Special Friend Day at the elementary school, Barnfest, field day, and many more activities. As a soccer player, he volunteers for his community, and giving back is a high priority for his coach. The team cleans up the park and helps clean up trash at their local Jubilee in town. Agriculture to Hunter is the heart of sustainability and connection to the land. It's not just about farming or producing food—it’s about understanding nature’s cycles and respecting the earth. Agriculture involves care, knowledge, and a deep sense of responsibility. As a son and grandson of generations of farmers, it's truly a way of life and he enjoys all that he has learned from his father and grandfather about farming and what farming was like for past generations compared to where it is now. Hunter plans on attending Trine University to major in design engineering technology and minor in agricultural engineering. His goal is to work in the agricultural industry designing ways to make farming more efficient for the farmers.
