Coleman Becker was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and mat. The thing he loves most about wrestling is how the team is a big family. He has been wrestling with the same teammates since they were little tykes and they are some of the closest people to him. Coleman's favorite part about football is how different sports and athletes intermingle. He finds it interesting how all athletes fit in their positions. Outside of sports, he is the FFA president where he, alongside his team, has organized huge fundraisers and trips for his FFA members. Coleman manages to find a way to balance school, sports, and farm work throughout the year. There were days when he would finish a job and go to practice in his tractor and baler. Then after practice, he would hop back in the tractor and head to the next job. Coleman's position as an FFA officer has allowed him to be involved with his community. He has been a part of various events and fundraisers that benefit both his FFA chapter and the community. Agriculture to Coleman is one big community that relies on each other. When disaster strikes farmers, it is the other farmers that help them get back on their feet. This was demonstrated a few years ago when levies broke in northern Nebraska leaving farmers devastated. A group of farmers and agricultural enthusiasts, including his father and him, went into action by organizing a convoy to deliver supplies to these farmers. In the future, Coleman would like to start milking in his grandpa's barn just down the road. That would make him a fourth-generation dairy farmer on the same road and land used by his great-grandpa. He would also like to take some agriculture courses through Midstate Technical College while he starts milking.

Ava Kaenel was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court and field. The thing she loves most about high school sports is simply the friendships and experiences she has gained. The team dynamics are also something she loves about sports because they can come from any background or grade level and still come together and work hard for the love of the same sport. She would not have the friendships she has now if it weren't for high school sports. Ava is a three-season student-athlete and competes in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She is also involved in FFA as the vice president, NHS as the treasurer, FCCLA, musical productions, the Montello Chamber Choir, the Academic Bowl Team, and participates in Solo Ensemble. She was selected as the 2024 November Student of the Month by the staff in her building. Through her participation in FFA, she can be involved in the community and its activities. She helps and plans the Montello Westfield FFA Alumni Wildlife Banquet, MHS 4th, 5th, & 6th grade Safety Day, the Montello Trap Shoot, and the Harrisville Sportsman Club trap shoot. This year she has also worked with her officer team to cook a meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House in Madison. Although she does not come from an agricultural background, Ava has gained all her agricultural experience through FFA. She has plenty of respect for agriculture, hard work, and dedication throughout the industry. Without exposure to ag classes, Ava would not have become the greenhouse manager at her school. Although undecided, Ava is leaning towards attending Milwaukee Area Technical College and taking part in the radiology program in hopes of becoming an MRI technician after graduating high school.

Katelyn Schroeder was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court. The things she loves most about high school sports are the deep connections and life lessons that she has learned from participating. Sports have taught her to manage her time and stay organized as well as how to be a leader and create connections with people to work as a team. Katelyn is involved in and competes in volleyball, basketball, FFA, FCCLA, and student council. Outside of school and sports, she is confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, does community service, works on her farm, and previously participated in 4-H. Agriculture to Katelyn means generations of love, commitment, hard work, and determination. Agriculture has been a huge part of her life and has taught her work ethic, precision, and patience. Katelyn plans to attend Northern State University for a potential major in agri-business alongside playing on the Northern State volleyball team.

Myles Montgomery was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and court. What he loves most about high school sports is competing and watching the community come together to watch. Every team he has been on has grown close with each other and the community as a whole. He has also made friendships that will last a lifetime through high school sports. Myles is involved in the Minford varsity soccer and basketball teams. He is also involved in many school clubs including Bible club, art club, Spanish club, National Honor Society, and FFA. Outside of school, he participates in 4-H, helps at the local food pantry, works basketball and soccer camps, and trains kids to help with their basketball skills. Agriculture means a lot to Myles. His whole life he has grown up on the farm with his family. He has incorporated agriculture with everything he does in life and it has taught him hard work and toughness. Myles plans to attend West Liberty University and continue his athletic career playing basketball. He is planning on majoring in exercise physiology and after he graduates he plans on going to physical therapy school. He would like to thank God for getting him to the positions he is in today and being with him along the way.

Grace Schavey was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court and field. What she loves most about high school sports is the team aspect, the community that comes with playing, and the character it builds in her. It is an amazing opportunity to be with teammates and coaches that treat her like family and build connections and relationships with all of them. She will never forget the memories and lessons throughout her high school sports journey. Grace is involved in girls' tennis, basketball, and track and field. She is also active in her school’s FFA chapter serving as an officer, as well as BPA (Business Professionals of America), peer helping, National Honor Society, and is currently her junior class vice president. In her community, Grace participates in 4-H, at both club and county levels where she has served in many offices at both levels. Through 4-H, she has volunteered at her fair and throughout the year at various events. She is also active in her church and enjoys volunteering at many different community activities such as helping at youth sports camps and volunteering at different community events with her basketball team. Agriculture is one of the most important things in Grace's life. Growing up on her family’s farm, as well as in the livestock industry showing pigs, or through 4-H and FFA, has been one of the most valuable things to her. The agriculture and livestock industries have shaped who she is today as a person, teaching her many invaluable life lessons and skills, as well as a work ethic and truly working for what she wants to accomplish. After high school, Grace plans to attend college and possibly further her education in agri-business or the animal science area. She would also like to be able to return home to her family farm one day and help them continue farming. Additionally, she would like to thank her parents, coaches, teammates, mentors, and anyone else in her life who has helped get her to this point and shaped her into who she is.

Ashlyn Nelson was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court, course, and field. What she loves most about high school sports is the team bonding and family she has gained from playing with others. She enjoys the constant competition and having to work towards her goals. Ashlyn is involved in cross country, basketball, and track and field as well as the Minnesota Honors Society. Some community activities Ashlyn is involved in include being a teacher at Vacation Bible School, an Elementary basketball coach, a BioGirls mentor, and participating in the local 5k races. Through these events and opportunities, she is able to gain volunteer hours for the Minnesota Honors Society. Coming from a family that farms, Ashlyn believes agriculture is a significant amount of the crops grown on the soil. The crops that each farmer harvest provides her with food she finds in stores. Many may not realize that humans are not the only ones who need farmers, animals and all living things get fuel from the farmers' crops too. Ashlyn plans to attend Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks to study to be a physical therapy assistant and potentially play basketball.
