Carter Marschke was nominated as Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the track. Carter loves being with his team and embracing the opportunity to take on a leadership role in high school sports. He also has leadership roles outside of sports, such as being a Blue Crew leader and leading the project to re-stain the Nature Center deck at school. In addition to these activities, Carter is involved in the National Honor Society, cross country, track, recycling, and digital media for his school, and community outreach and the food pantry for his church. Carter has had the opportunity to learn a lot about agriculture through his job with Alan Baird. He has loved learning about Alan’s history in agriculture as it has helped Carter channel his interests and build a future. Carter plans to attend Purdue University for a major in agribusiness and has been working hard to earn scholarships to help cover tuition. He is passionate about pursuing a career in agriculture.

The thing Keegan loves most about high school sports is the comradery as well as being part of a team to work together for a common goal. He participates in FCA, 4H, and Buckeye Boys State, plays football, basketball, and baseball, and contributes to community service activities. He is also a teacher assistant, an FFA officer, and a student union treasurer. Keegan’s grandfather has always farmed, and he always enjoyed helping others. He loved going to the farm and experiencing a life not everyone has the opportunity to. Keegan always takes steer to the county fair and enjoys working hard. Being heavily involved in 4H and FFA has allowed him to show others and explain the importance of agriculture. Keegan is hoping to become a teacher, and a coach, and work on a farm part-time.

Andrew Gotham was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for his commitment and passion on and off the field and court. He has competed in football, basketball, and track and field during his high school years. He enjoys team camaraderie in sports and how a team comes together to perform at their best. Throwing shot put and discus in track has taught Andrew that setting individual goals and achieving them is very rewarding. Andrew is involved in the Honor Society, Skills USA, robotics, football, basketball, track and field, and weightlifting. He is a chapter officer in FFA and is a class officer. He is also included in 4H, church, and church youth group. To Andrew, agriculture provides the world with the food to survive and means the past, present, and future. He believes the future will present advancements in current agricultural practices and allow growth in technology to make agriculture more efficient. Andrew is planning on attending a university/college to primarily advance his education, but also continue his track career. He hopes to throw shot put and discus at the college level. He is currently undecided on a major but is interested in an engineering field or technical field.

Kaylynn Allen was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the mat. The aspect she loves the most about high school sports is the opportunity to better develop her work ethic in different environments with her friends. Kaylynn is involved in FFA, Women's Wrestling, the National Honor Society, and cheerleading, and she just joined the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at her school. She is also involved in 4-H, Lincoln County M.A.S.S, showing beef cattle, and Brooke's School of Dance. To Kaylynn, agriculture means a chance to provide for and feed her family and community while also being able to enjoy bonding with the animals God has given her! She is still unsure about what she would like to do after school, but she is highly interested in a career in the agriculture industry.

Avery Zeisler was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the course. She loves that through cross country, she has been able to make friends and memories from her close-knit team. Avery also loves that her sport helped her become a better leader on and off the course. She is involved in a variety of school activities such as FFA, National Honor Society, Student Council, 4-H, and cross country. With her focus on FFA, Avery won proficiency at the state level in April of 2024 and received silver at the national level, being in the top 15% of the nation. Avery is heavily involved in her church and she spends time volunteering at various community events. To Avery, agriculture is not a job or an occupation, but a lifestyle. It’s where the best life lessons come from and how she has learned many valuable life skills. Avery plans on pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business or Agricultural Communications at a four-year college.
