The Colorado Avalanche are at the point of the season where games like this should not happen. Sure, you're going to lose some games. But getting manhandled for a full 60 minutes when you are at this stage of the season, in the position the Avs are in should not happen.

But it did. At least on this day. And maybe you can take away some things from this such as the simple fact that it happened, and the Avs need to come out with more energy from the opening puck drop.

No, things were not bouncing the Avs way all night while things seemed to be going the Bruins way every single time. But even if the Avs did get some things going their way, this was all Boston.

Now the question is, with the lack of production lately from the bottom six, does Joe Sakic make a move to bring in some fresh blood sooner rather than later? Time will tell. I wouldn't wait too long.
