September 10, 2017 The championship is level
I know we say it every week, but what a championship this is turning out to be. Now Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso are level on points at the top of the championship with Maverick Vinales keeping a watching brief in third, a further 16 points back. At San Marino, Marc Marquez mastered the wet condition to take victory and break the heart of Danilo Petrucci who for a long time looked like would take his maiden win in the class. Andrea Dovizioso’s 2017 gets better and better as he takes his fourth win of the season under the baking heat at Silverstone to take the lead in the championship.
