October 26, 2017 Marquez with one hand on the trophy?
Marc Marquez came out on top at Phillip Island following a stunning race which saw the top seven over-take one another 73 times and separated by just +5.619 seconds - the closest ever gap in the MotoGP era. From level on points to 16 in the lead, Marc Marquez rode brilliant race at home at Aragon to take a dominant strangle hold on the championship. Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo completed the podium, while Valentino Rossi heroically finished fifth, 24 days after breaking his leg. September 10, 2017 The championship is level
I know we say it every week, but what a championship this is turning out to be. Now Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso are level on points at the top of the championship with Maverick Vinales keeping a watching brief in third, a further 16 points back. At San Marino, Marc Marquez mastered the wet condition to take victory and break the heart of Danilo Petrucci who for a long time looked like would take his maiden win in the class. As always, the BT Sport MotoGP team were at the heart of the action in pit-lane to grab all the fall-out from a dramatic day of racing at Misano.

August 27, 2017 Dovi takes championship lead
Andrea Dovizioso’s 2017 gets better and better as he takes his fourth win of the season under the baking heat at Silverstone to take the lead in the championship. Behind him finished Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi, while former championship leader Marc Marquez suffered a mechanical problem. Marc Marquez won his fifth straight MotoGP race at the Sachsenring in Germany ahead of home favourite Jonas Folger and Dani Pedrosa. Victory also carried Marquez, who has now won his last eight races at the historic circuit across all classes, to the top of the championship standings although the top four are separated by just 10 points.
