Rant Wednesday on Coach and Company starts with the story New York didn't want to hear. Jaxson Dart got hurt in the Giants' 28-6 Monday night loss to the Rams. John Harbaugh's first read was "in the neighborhood" of an MCL sprain. Now there are reports of MCL, PCL and meniscus damage and season-ending surgery. Big Tommy C wants the front office to stop keeping fans in the dark. The panel agrees the Giants need a real answer behind Jameis Winston, who went 11-of-27 for 111 yards in relief. Mikey P floats a buy-low call to Minnesota for J.J. McCarthy, who is third on the Vikings' depth chart behind Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz. Then comes a quick power-rankings check. Coach has Buffalo No. 1. Mikey P goes with a Kansas City team fresh off a 33-30 overtime win over the Colts. Tommy picks a 49ers defense that has allowed 20 points in two games.
Then the rants. Mikey P defends Caleb Williams after the Bears QB was carted off with a hamstring injury and aims straight at Emmanuel Acho. He points out that Caleb took 68 sacks as a rookie. Big Tommy C pleads with the baseball and football gods: Dart is out, Aaron Judge is expected to miss the Wild Card Series with a calf strain, and the Rays clinched the AL East at Yankee Stadium. Coach, now living in Dallas–Fort Worth, still can't explain the Cowboys. They drew the most-watched game of the first two weeks (27.2 million for Commanders-Cowboys), and Forbes values them at $17 billion (Coach rounds it to $20 billion on air). Yet they have gone 30 years without a Super Bowl, and Dak Prescott just passed Tony Romo's franchise TD record.
The second half is the college football top five. First is No. 1 Texas at No. 14 Tennessee (noon ET, ABC). Mikey P says Arch Manning answers the noise by winning in Knoxville by at least a touchdown. Next, No. 3 Notre Dame is a 27-point favorite at Purdue, and Mikey P argues the Irish have to keep covering to protect their playoff résumé. Coach worries about a hangover for No. 4 Ole Miss at Florida a week after beating LSU. Mikey P likes the Rebels at +3.5 or on the money line. Both expect Georgia to roll over Oklahoma as a 14-point favorite. The show closes with No. 23 Texas A&M at No. 10 LSU, which Coach calls a bounce-back test for Lane Kiffin's new team. Picks and leans are the hosts' opinions, and lines move all week.
Housekeeping: Fight Time with Mikey P drops Thursday. The Afternoon Drive airs Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Thursday's show updates the college storylines before TNF (Falcons at Packers). Coach and Bro is live today at 2 p.m. ET with the latest on Vince Russo. The 2 Count is available on demand after its best numbers in five months. Big Tommy C is also on the Monday Night Grind. Coach opens show No. 3 of Afternoon Drive with his Week 2 power rankings: 1. Bills, 2. 49ers, 3. Chiefs, 4. Seahawks, 5. Rams — three NFC West teams in the top five. Buffalo is 2-0 after dropping 36 on Houston and 41 on Detroit, and Josh Allen already has nine total touchdowns (NFL.com/Yahoo). San Francisco won its first two by 20-plus, including the 27-7 opener over the Rams in Melbourne (49ers.com), and the Rams earn their spot after Monday night's 28-6 win over the Giants, with Aaron Donald back and making a difference (NFL.com).
Then it's every Week 3 game in two minutes or less (full schedule). Coach likes the Packers over the Falcons on Thursday night, says Deshaun Watson has earned the start at home against Carolina off the Browns' win in Tampa (with Todd Monken's "very young player" sound) (PFT), asks whether Aaron Rodgers has anything left in Pittsburgh, and takes the Colts and the points at home against Houston. He defends Chris Jones' "two middle fingers" backing of Harrison Butker after the Chiefs' 33-30 overtime win (Yahoo), rides the Bills to cover against the 0-2 Chargers, takes the Lions over the Jets, and breaks down Washington life without Jayden Daniels (dislocated elbow; Marcus Mariota expected to start) (NFL.com). Late window: Carson Wentz and the 2-0 Vikings at 0-2 Tampa, Ravens–Cowboys at Rio de Janeiro's Maracanã (CBS Sports), Kirk Cousins' Raiders at the Saints (Coach's pick: New Orleans), and Rams at Broncos on Sunday night. It closes on Monday night's Eagles at Bears — with Caleb Williams nursing a hamstring and Tyson Bagent in concussion protocol, Case Keenum could start for Chicago (NFL.com); Coach says he'll take Philly -3.5 "all day."
Along the way: the Jalen Hurts doppelganger meme, the Taylor Swift "that's my husband" moment, Romeo Doubs' $68M Patriots deal versus keeping Stefon Diggs (Heavy), and a pile of Super Chats from Jimmy Fingers, Morris, Big Cheesy, Dan and the rest of the chat. Picks are Coach's opinion and lines move — check current odds before you play. It's the weekend wrestling fans have circled for months. AEW All Out and WWE's Worlds Collide go head-to-head in Chicago on the same night. Coach and JDfromNY start the show by deciding who has already won the weekend. Both say AEW, because All Out sold out without ever addressing WWE, while WWE still hasn't said where its show will air. From there they break down All Out's card: Will Ospreay's first true pay-per-view title defense against Jon Moxley, and what could be Cope and Christian's last big moment in a three-way TLC tag title match with FTR and the Young Bucks. They also debate whether Mercedes Moné, who is off All Out and now advertised for October 17, is still the biggest star in AEW's women's division.
Over on WWE programming, the guys ask whether CM Punk's involvement is lifting Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and the WWE Championship picture on SmackDown. They also cover the unaired clip of Cody Rhodes telling Michael Cole he'll "kick his head off," and whether it hints at a heel turn WWE won't commit to. Coach and JD question whether the TNA partnership has been one-sided after Nic Nemeth spoke up about it. They tear into the AI-made "Lemon Pepper Steppers" shirt WWE pulled from Trick Williams' merch line. And they argue that LA Knight should take the World Heavyweight Championship from Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank.
The back half covers the youth movement in the Money in the Bank qualifiers, Oba Femi's return to save Je'Von Evans from The Vision, and why Bronson Reed deserves credit for his selling. The Kickout covers Royce Keys and 946 leaving Solo Sikoa to "walk till you feel the grass," super chats on WWE's Saudi Arabia plans and the State Department travel advisory, and both hosts' best Chicago memories, including Coach's first night on air alongside The Rock.

It's lookahead Tuesday, and Coach opens with the viral doppelgänger discourse — he's convinced Jalen Hurts is doing a Coach impression, and Supi would like everyone to stop calling him Jason Kelce — before the panel gets to a Monday night that was over almost before it started. Jaxson Dart left on the Giants' opening drive with a knee injury (believed to be a sprained MCL), Jameis Winston went 11-of-27 for 111 yards in relief, and the Rams rolled 28-6 behind Matthew Stafford's 327 yards and four touchdowns and Davante Adams' 8-catch, 195-yard night — with Aaron Donald back in the lineup and Puka Nacua inactive. Supi argues the Giants have to rebuild the game plan around Winston's pocket style this week; Mikey P, a Bears fan living through Caleb Williams' "week-to-week" hamstring, says Giants fans should be worried. Coach's take: expect the "Jameis is already thinking about TV" narrative, and don't buy it. Then it's Inside Info with Raphael Esparza: grab the Notre Dame–Purdue over at 57.5 before it climbs (Purdue has allowed 45 a game over its last two), grab the Cardinals–49ers under at 48 against a Niners defense that has allowed 20 points in two games, and if you like Miami against the Chiefs, wait — Raphael expects the 11.5 to reach 12.5 or even 13 before kickoff.
The Week 3 lookahead asks one question five times: did the books get it right? Supi calls Jaguars -3 over New England essentially spot-on after Jacksonville let a 10-point lead slip in Denver, and Mikey P likes the Jags at home in a "get right" game. For Ravens–Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Supi's game plan is Derrick Henry 25-30 times plus Rashod Bateman, which makes Coach nervous about the 52 total. Supi loves Tyler Shough and the Saints (-3) against a 2-0 Raiders team riding Kirk Cousins, while Mikey P says it's on Maxx Crosby and the Raiders' pass rush. On Sunday night, Mikey P is fading the Rams (-2.5) and taking Bo Nix and the Broncos at altitude despite a banged-up backfield, and Supi sees a defensive game. And for Monday night, Mikey P does the unthinkable: with Caleb Williams week-to-week and Tyson Bagent likely under center, he's fading his own Bears against the Eagles (-3) — a team that went from 59 points in Week 1 to a field goal in Week 2. Supi agrees and says Chicago's only path is Swift, Monangai and Colston Loveland, keeping it within one score. Coach closes with the Jalen Hurts heel-turn video for Big Cheesy in the chat. As always, picks and leans are the hosts' opinions and lines move — check your book before you play.

It's Monday, and after a rocky start (Coach's mic goes down, Producer Man briefly takes the wheel) The Coach and Bro get into a Big Three that skips the usual segment-by-segment Raw and SmackDown breakdown for three heavier conversations. Before that, Vince has "middle to extensive heat" with Coach over the Chiefs failing to cover and the viral "That's my husband!" moment from Sunday night, and Coach is trending after NFL Twitter decided Jalen Hurts' sideline look was a dead ringer for one of his classic entrance videos.
The lead story is a serious one: indie wrestler Ganon Jones Jr., who was in Andy "The Butcher" Williams' final tag match, has announced he's stepping away from wrestling for the sake of his young daughter. Vince stresses that the cause of death is still not official, then makes a bigger point — wrestling is supposed to be a work, and the boys are supposed to protect each other. Both hosts share where they were the night Owen Hart died in 1999: Vince backstage, watching a locker room walk around like zombies and telling his wife he never wanted to be part of another show; Coach in the seventh row as a fan, a month into living in Kansas City. From there it's the awkward finish to Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Title on SmackDown, where Owens kicked out after the referee's three count — Vince's take is that the ref did exactly what he's trained to do, and that Zayn is working hard for heat the story hasn't earned him. Then Nic Nemeth's comments that he'd like to see TNA treated more fairly in the WWE partnership split the desk: Vince says the WWE rub (and likely the AMC deal) is the real value, Coach can't name one thing WWE has done for TNA on its own TV since January and wonders whether there's even a liaison.
Topic three: with the U.S. State Department travel advisory for Saudi Arabia changing, WWE has reportedly discussed contingencies for Crown Jewel, yet publicly it's full steam ahead. Coach argues this is really about protecting a WrestleMania-in-Saudi deal worth (by the rumors he's heard) anywhere from $50 million to $200 million, and revisits his own decision to say no to a WWE overseas trip years ago. Vince thinks the company is posturing until it has to decide, and both agree Triple H is in the toughest spot in the building — one of the boys, a father of three, answering to the other side of the house. Along the way: the world premiere of the "Just Wrestling" BlueChew Gold commercial (after the file froze the first time), the 23rd anniversary of Coach and Al Snow vs. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, whether anyone on the current roster could host SNL the way The Rock did in March 2000, a Jimmy Fingers vs. Joey rivalry that's spilling into the super chats, and Vince's Giants pick for Monday Night Football.

It's the busiest day of the week at BTT Studios, and Coach and Raphael Esparza only have the morning to get through all of NFL Week 2 — starting with Sunday night's 70-minute classic at Arrowhead, where the Chiefs beat the Colts 33-30 in overtime behind a vintage Patrick Mahomes (382 yards, 3 TD) and a 101-yard night from Travis Kelce. Raphael's takeaway is that Mahomes spreading the ball to seven receivers, including a late shot to Tyquan Thornton, is what makes Kansas City dangerous again; Coach notes the Colts defense now owns the NFL record for yards allowed through two games and doesn't buy Shane Steichen's claim that he was ready to go for it on fourth-and-8. From there it's best and worst of the weekend: Raphael salutes a Saints defense that shut out Baltimore in the second half of a 24-17 win in the Ravens' home opener, and Coach — who says BTT calls it "right down the middle" — gives Deshaun Watson his flowers for a 24-of-30, 238-yard, two-touchdown road win over Baker Mayfield's Buccaneers. On the other end: Raphael can't believe C.J. Stroud was Houston's leading rusher in a 20-6 loss to Cincinnati, and Coach is done with an 0-2 Chargers team that scored 14 points in each of its first two games and now faces Buffalo, Seattle, Denver and Kansas City in a row — plus the Circa Survivor carnage that took out roughly a third of the pool (and both of Coach's entries).
The Weekend Rewind goes to Oxford, where Ole Miss beat Lane Kiffin's LSU 32-24 — the hosts weigh Kiffin's emotional postgame, Pete Golding's two-point call, and why Coach thinks Trinidad Chambliss is the real winner of the night — and to Eugene, where Oregon hung 84-0 on Portland State and Raphael's "grab the over" call cashed with room to spare. Back in the NFL, the quarterback rundown covers Jayden Daniels' dislocated elbow and Caleb Williams' hamstring, Raphael's best (Bo Nix flipping the Broncos' second half against Jacksonville) versus Coach's (Brock Purdy and the 2-0 49ers rolling Miami), and the worst: Aaron Rodgers' 23-of-39, 187-yard day in a 20-3 loss to New England and, for Coach, Justin Herbert — who he argues is drifting toward "bust" territory at his price tag. Raphael pushes back on one thing: don't disrespect the 2-0 Raiders.
Then it's Gridiron Time for Giants at Rams on Monday Night Football. Raphael's best bets: Giants team total over 19.5 and the game over. Coach's: Giants +7.5 (buying the half-point through the key number) and Isaiah Likely over 44.5 receiving yards. The hosts also get into what the Rams are dealing with — Myles Garrett out at least a month, Aaron Donald's decision not to make the Australia trip, and Puka Nacua's status — and why Raphael says wide receivers almost never move a betting line. As always, picks are the hosts' opinions and lines move; check your book before you play.

Busiest day of the week at BTT Studios. Coach and Raphael Esparza recap every corner of NFL Week 2 — Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce outlasting the Colts 33-30 in overtime at Arrowhead, Deshaun Watson's 24-of-30 road win over Baker Mayfield's Buccaneers, the Saints' second-half shutout of the Ravens, C.J. Stroud leading Houston in rushing (yes, really), and an 0-2 Chargers team that has Coach ready to say the word "bust." Plus the Weekend Rewind: Lane Kiffin's emotional night in Oxford as Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24, and Oregon's 84-0 statement over Portland State.
Then it's Gridiron Time for Giants at Rams on Monday Night Football. Raphael takes the Giants team total over 19.5 and the game over; Coach buys the half-point on Giants +7.5 and rides Isaiah Likely over 44.5 receiving yards. Myles Garrett out, Aaron Donald's Australia decision, Puka Nacua's status, and why wide receivers don't move lines. Picks are opinions — lines move, so check your book. Peyton Lodge and Coach open on the weekend that proves the whole premise of this show — 50-year-olds crashing in fraternity houses in Oxford because there isn't a hotel room left in the state. From there it's the NBA's Clippers ruling, handed down September 2, which required Kawhi Leonard to pay $700,000, fined the organization $30 million, stripped five first-round picks between 2029 and 2033, and suspended Steve Ballmer for a year.1 Coach won't put it on Leonard — he blames the agents and the people above him, drawing on his own years working for a billionaire — while Peyton is stuck on the sheer size of numbers that barely register for an owner worth what Ballmer is worth. The through-line Coach lands on: losing a year of access will sting an owner far more than any fine.
Joe Buck's new six-year ESPN extension, reported at roughly $108 million, gets the same treatment.2 Peyton's question is whether anyone has ever turned a game on for the announcer; Coach's answer is that the money isn't buying tune-in, it's buying the best baseball voice available ahead of a Super Bowl and a World Series bid — and then he tells the story of the night Joe Buck beat him back to the hotel bar in Kansas City, police escort and all, and overheard exactly what Coach was saying about him. In the "Roll It" segment the guys work through Deshaun Watson's midweek press-conference line about the media expecting 400 yards and five touchdowns a week3, Sophie Cunningham's comments on the search for a new WNBA commissioner as Cathy Engelbert heads for the exit at the end of the year4, and Lane Kiffin's leaked halftime speech from LSU's rout of Clemson.5 Coach is convinced the Kiffin audio was planted — and says that's exactly why it works.
That sets up Saturday in Oxford, where No. 7 LSU visits No. 8 Ole Miss with College GameDay on site5, and Coach reaches back to 1997 and the night Kansas State finally beat Nebraska — the closest thing in his career to what Oxford is about to feel like. The picks close the show: both guys are on Cincinnati at Houston, both like Jacksonville getting points in Denver, Coach wants the Chiefs' spread and nothing else, and both see the Giants as live dogs in Los Angeles.6 Opinions here are the hosts' own and the spreads were quoted at record time — check current numbers before you act on anything.

Friday is Story Time on The Coach and Bro, and it opens with Vince Russo on a tear about the difference between content and good content. Howard Stern's show moved to HBO Max this month as a weekly filmed series after cutting his SiriusXM schedule to one day a week, and Russo — a Stern listener since 1983, and the reason he wanted to get into radio in the first place — watched the first episode and could not believe what a network that built its name on The Sopranos had just paid for. He gives it six episodes. Coach's read is different: when you have been around that long, nobody gets to tell you what to talk about, and networks are handing talent longer and longer leashes because the ugly stuff is what gets clicked. From there it turns to the video of Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch getting swarmed at the Mexico City airport, where Rollins moves and his wife does not. Russo's take — "grab her by the arm and take off with her" — is the one that ended up quoted around the wrestling internet by the afternoon. Both hosts are clear that Becky Lynch can handle herself; the point is that you do not leave anyone behind in a crowd in a country where you do not know who is carrying what.
Story three is uglier and both men treat it that way. A 64-year-old Pennsylvania man was taken for more than $42,000 by someone impersonating Rhea Ripley; a second fan says Liv Morgan impersonators ran him for about $35,500 across multiple accounts, fake meet-and-greets and merch that never arrived. Russo adds the version that just happened in his own family — his sister was talked into a wire over a fake missed-jury-duty warrant and only stopped because the bank asked her what she was doing — and Coach points to Travis Kelce being named among the victims of a $35 million Ponzi scheme this week. The wrestling-specific wrinkle is the one worth hearing: fans want to be connected to their favorite performer more than fans of almost anything else, and predators know exactly what that is worth.
Then the main event. Eight days out, both companies are in Chicago on the same night — AEW All Out at the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, sold out, against WWE and AAA's Worlds Collide at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, streaming free on YouTube with Chicago-native CM Punk advertised. Jim Ross said on his podcast that everybody in the business should be helping each other and that it is never going to happen, and Coach plays the clip. Both hosts agree with the sentiment and reject the conclusion: this is competition, it is how the territories ran, and Nick Khan is not going to be the nice guy about it. Their frustration is pointed at the other side — Tony Khan telling them directly that AEW is not trying to win, it is trying to do its own thing, which Coach calls the most ridiculous statement he has ever heard anybody make; and the year-plus since WrestleMania was announced for Saudi Arabia with AEW still not having claimed that week at home. A viewer super chat lands the thesis of the whole segment: if you know nothing is coming back over the wall, you stop being scared to go over it. The back half is Story Time proper — Johnny Unitas on a sideline in Baltimore, Michael Clark Duncan, Tom Jones and Tony Curtis in Vegas, twelve security guards clearing the MGM Grand lobby for Sammy Davis Jr., and Jay Leno testing Tonight Show jokes at the same Manhattan Beach club every Sunday night since 1987 — plus Crown Jewel, Club WWE, a new segment called Heel Tweets, and a Jags pick.

Coach opens with Buffalo's home debut, and Supi's line is the one that sticks: the stamp Josh Allen put on it "put a hole in the earth." Allen went for 248 through the air and 69 on the ground with five total touchdowns as the Bills beat Detroit 41-31 in the new building.1 The three of them are less kind to Dan Campbell, who never seriously looked at a field goal while chasing points, and to a Lions offense that leaned away from Jahmyr Gibbs — 16 carries, 52 rushing yards — when he is plainly their best weapon. Mikey P's argument is that Buffalo shows the alternative: James Cook went for 135 on the ground and 21 carries1, takes pressure off everything else, and never once asks for the ball in public. Coach's read on Allen is that he has heard every word of the "can he get it done" noise and has decided to answer it himself.
The best-bets board runs long. On the college side Mikey P likes SMU on the money line at Louisville behind Kevin Jennings and Mississippi State to cover at South Carolina; Coach is on the SMU–Louisville over at 58; Supi takes North Carolina at Clemson in Bill Belichick's second year and USC on the road at Rutgers — after calling them UNC twice, which the guys do not let go. In the NFL, Supi has the Panthers as a road favorite in Atlanta and the Giants to win outright in Los Angeles, Mikey P backs Cincinnati at Houston with Nico Collins ruled out2 and Baker Mayfield against his old team, and Coach takes the Vikings–Bears over at 48. These are the guys' opinions and the numbers were quoted at record time — check current lines before you act on any of it.
The back half is all Oxford. Supi says Ole Miss will treat Saturday like a national championship game against the coach who left them; Mikey P won't let Lane Kiffin play the victim, pointing out that those same players went to the playoff without him and want to prove it. Morgan Freeman is College GameDay's celebrity guest picker3, Notre Dame hosts Michigan State as a 29-and-a-half-point favorite with style points on the brain4, and the guys close by picking what's on their screens — LSU–Ole Miss for everyone, with UFC 331 on the second screen and Miami–Wake Forest on Friday night.
Housekeeping: the pop-up "Bail Mary" tee is in its final week — send a photo if you're wearing one and it goes up on the show. Mikey P and Brandon Combs have a Saturday morning show, the Coach and Bro Show runs at 2 PM ET with story time on Fridays, a VOD segment drops Sunday around 10 AM ET, and Generational Divide with Peyton Lodge is back today.

Episode two of the Afternoon Drive opens on the biggest number on the board: Lions-Bills, Bills laying roughly 5.5 with a total near 55 — four points clear of anything else in Week 2. Coach walks through the one thing that scares him about the spot (four days of rest and a Jahmyr Gibbs workload of 34 touches in Week 1), then applies a lesson Colin Cowherd taught him at ESPN — play the hits — to make the case for Josh Allen at 253.5 passing and 30.5 rushing. Along the way he lays out what each side has to do to win: a perfect game from Detroit, and simply getting out of their own way in Buffalo, where he argues the pressure has never been higher after a franchise that reached No. 1 and No. 2 seeds still changed head coaches without a Super Bowl trip.
From there it's the debut of My Big 3 — Coach's three most-anticipated games of the weekend. Vikings-Bears leads, driven by a Chicago staff openly chasing points; Jaguars-Broncos follows, with Coach framing it as the referendum game on whether Trevor Lawrence is a genuine big-time quarterback; and Giants-Rams closes it out, with a warning about what a hostile, empty-feeling road trip to SoFi does to a young team. He also passes along the morning show's best bets — the Bills team total at 30.5, Young Peyton on Buffalo, and Mikey P on Allen's combined yards around 290 — and reminds listeners the Betcha watch-along this week is Colts-Chiefs on Sunday night.
The back half goes Back to School. Coach reads Lane Kiffin's LSU-Ole Miss week as pure heel work: an NIL fight in which two players who had signed with Ole Miss got served papers in a parking lot, and now a starting quarterback listed doubtful with no real indication he was hurt. His read — and he says it plainly as opinion — is that the quarterback plays Saturday. Then the North Carolina news: Steve Belichick's resignation lands a couple of weeks after the program's general manager left, and UNC's own statement says the conduct at issue showed "a disregard for Carolina's values and standards of conduct" while calling it isolated rather than systemic. Coach's take is that the entire reason Bill Belichick took the job was to build a runway for his son — and with that gone, he wonders out loud how much longer Bill stays.
