Right now, a lot of you are in the Transfer Portal. No one knows what's coming next, you're never satisfied, and we all think it's better somewhere else. Division 1 athletes and the general public have no loyalty to anything. If you want to succeed, you need to come up with a plan and you need to believe in it and stick to it.

You need 10,000 hours of experience to become an expert at anything. If you are constantly jumping into the transfer portal and looking for that next best thing, you'll never get close to those 10,000 hours of anything. Focus boys and girls, it's time to dig in and become great at something. Don't let every shiny object distract you from a well-planned goal. You've got this, player.

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything." If you are a regular listener you've heard me say that before. You've heard me say that before but it's worth saying again on my 2 year anniversary that you should act like a 2-year old.

I'm not suggesting that you take a dump in your drawers, but I am suggesting that you professionally implement the better part of being a 2-year old. Be brutally honest with your customers, your colleagues, and your family. Get right to the point with your emails, with your sale pitch. Sometimes the obvious is the hardest thing to achieve. Be a professionally filtered 2-year old.

So urologists figured out that men like to watch basketball, especially around March Madness. That's not rocket science, but what is brilliant is that they also know that after you get a vasectomy you may be stuck in bed for a few days. What better time to not be able to work or even leave the house than during March Madness?

So what's YOUR vasectomy marketing strategy? You need to get creative. How can you get creative, think outside the box and make yourself and others feel a little uncomfortable? If your marketing strategy doesn't make you uncomfortable, it's not good enough. It's not interesting enough and no one is paying attention. You should discuss your marketing ideas with others, and if they don't wince a little, then it's not enough. Throw it out or figure out a way to make it bigger and badder. Go fast, take chances. If you're good people know, if you're great, they'll tell you. Don't do it yourself, you're an asshole if you're promoting yourself. Talking about yourself just shows that you have low self-esteem. When someone does this, take everything they say and divide by 2. Elon Musk will never tell you how great he is. Tom Brady doesn't have to tell you how great he is. Jeff Bezos will NEVER tell you how great he is. If you get to that point, people will tell you and when they do, be humble. Let them know that they can be great too. Let your actions and accomplishments do the talking for you. Be appreciative of the accolades. If you have the talent, you will be found. Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it and you will be found.

Don't just blindly accept what is given to you. Don't believe everything you hear or what you think you know. Screw the "given." Everybody told Jeff Bezos that people wouldn't buy products without touching them but look at Amazon today. Everybody told Tony Shea that no one would buy shoes without trying them on first but look at Zappos. Elon Musk changed the way we see electric cars. Tiger Woods changed golf. Michael Jordan changed basketball.

If you're a father or a mother, I guarantee that the way you thought you would raise your kids was not the way you ended up actually raising your kids. Covid has changed the game. We're not gonna be attacked, we're gonna attack. I've changed the podcast game. So here we are at episode 100 and I'm not screaming to the hills about it because I've got the Covid. Well, I don't know for sure yet if it is Covid but it sure as hell feels like it and believe me, it doesn't feel good. Sometimes it takes getting your ass kicked to realize that you are not immortal. I've spent decades working my ass off and I usually take this time to try to help motivate (moti-H8!) you to do the same, but today is a reflection on what's really important sometimes and that's feeling good.

Working hard feels good sometimes, it's good to achieve and to win, but you also have to stop and appreciate what that success affords you, the life it has given you, and never take your health for granted because in the end, if you don't have that none of the rest matters. Can you feel me player? If you're feeling good, make sure you do what you need to keep that up. If you're not, figure out why and fix that however you can before it's too late. I'm looking forward to my next 100 episodes and spreading more wisdom of the Buckster to the masses. That is unless the Covid gets me, in which case you may never hear from me again and it's been a good run. Remember, there's no U-Hauls behind hearses, so if you see my wife arrive at my funeral in a helicopter you'll know why.

If you live in LA or San Diego or some other "always-sunny" locale, I feel sorry for you because that kind of weather doesn't prepare you for real life. Shit happens and you should not only expect it, and plan for it, you should encourage it. If the sun is shining all the time, and nothing ever bad happens, you will fall into a rut and you will get complacent. For the Buckster, constant sunshine turned me into an alcoholic and a drug addict. Everything was so good that I could do (and overdo) anything I wanted and I DID…But it almost killed me. The rain finally came, it caught up with me, I cleaned up and had to reinvent myself and now I'm clean, sober, and more successful than I ever was on Wall Street.

Things will go to shit, it happens to everyone, but if you are smart and you're ready for it that shit could be the best thing that happens to you. It forces you to think, to pivot, and to figure out what you did wrong so you can make corrections. Enjoy the sunshine when it's shining, but know that it will come and go.

I get thousands of downloads of my show, but every one makes an impact, and that means you are making an impact and for that, I thank you. Don't ever think you're too small to make an impact because no matter what you are doing in your business or your life, you are making an impact. You may feel like a supporting player at you job, but without you how would the superstars be able to what they do? And if you don't support them, they can't do their job well, the business goes under, and then nobody is making a living!

Don't beat yourself up. Sure, you can always do better or work harder, but don't beat yourself up if you're not doing that every minute of every day. Putting your business client's best interest before your own makes an impact. Performing a random act of kindness makes an impact. You have opportunities every day to make an impact, so don't let those opportunities slip by you.

Don't talk to just talk or listen to your own voice. Don't fall into the "frivolous banter abyss." Become verbally efficient. It's like the "Tiny house" of conversation but better because it doesn't cost you anything and it actually gets you time back. That sounds like a win-win! Think more, talk less. You have 2 ears and 1 mouth, use them in proportion. Just like the Buckster, you need to be like a 2x4 hitting them in the head with the brutal facts. So stop with the frivolous banter and get to the point.

Giving a compliment does not show weakness. Compliments show strength and confidence. They show that you have it together and you are self-assured. Compliments should be like exercise and eating right- You need to do it every day. Compliment a stranger. Or start with your family. Just thank them for who they are or what they did. Don't expect anything back, and that's OK. You have nothing to lose and it's a game-changer. And here's the best part- it costs you nothing and has the potential to make you look great. Just do it. And be generous about it.
