Have you ever felt like you've fallen so far from the Lord that it seems impossible to return? Today, Pastor Ed will be reminding us that the Lord is faithful to complete the work that He began in us! All throughout the Bible we see the heart of God and how He longs for us to return to Him when we fall into sin. God is longsuffering and the Bible says if you confess your sin to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive you. God isn't finished with you yet, purpose to repent of your sin and allow Him to clean you up.

As Pastor Ed continues his teaching series, he'll be explaining how in the same way our parents passed down certain genes in our DNA, we also have the sin nature of Adam passed down to us as well. The Bible say's that through Adam, all of mankind has the fallen sin nature within us, and it's only until we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, can we be cleansed of that sin. The most important thing to explain to those that your ministering to, is that they are a sinner in need of a Savior.

Today, Pastor Ed will be reminding us that everything in this world belongs to Him. Everything that you have; money, resources, a family, health and even your time, has been given to you as a blessing from the Lord. These blessing in life are not simply to be used on ourselves, but we are challenged in the scriptures to use these things to be a blessing to others. God doesn't just bless you so you can hoard for yourself what He's given you! One day we will have to give an account of our stewardship.

Did you know it's possible to have a saved soul but a wasted life? As Pastor Ed continues his teaching series, he'll be exhorting us to live a full life that is well pleasing to the Lord. When we live for the Lord and obey His commands, we will have satisfaction and fulfillment in this life. Jesus' desire is for us to have fullness of joy and contentment in Him, so if your lacking peace and joy, you may be filling up on something or someone else.

If we, who have wicked hearts know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more would our Heavenly Father give good gifts to His kids? Today, Pastor Ed will be encouraging us to make our requests and supplications know to our Father in Heaven because He is good and delights in giving us good gifts. God's idea of a good gift may differ than what you consider a good gift. The Lord is clear that He considers the filling of the Holy Spirit a good gift, as well as anything that would glorify Him.

As Pastor Ed continues his teaching series, he'll be challenging us to be as persevering in our prayer life as this gentile woman was in our text today. This woman asked the Lord to heal her daughter from demon possession and because of her steadfastness in perusing Him, the Lord recognized her great faith and healed her daughter. This woman knew Jesus was the messiah and had the power to heal her daughter and she didn't give up, even when she didn't get an immediate response!

Today, Pastor Ed will be challenging us to refrain from putting God in a box by expecting Him to act in a specific way, and to move the way we desire Him to move on our behalf. God is sovereign and Almighty, we have no business trying to make God do things the way we want them to be done. God's ways are not our ways, He is all knowing and it's in our best interest to let God do things the way He see's fit. We have limited knowledge and understanding of our circumstances but God doesn't.

As Pastor Ed begins his new teaching series on having our spiritual eyes opened, he'll be reminding us what it was like going from spiritually blindness to having our entire perspective and worldview changed. The moment you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are filled with His Spirit and your enlightened to the truths of God. You are now aware of the spiritual battles all around you, and you now know that living for eternity is much more beneficial than living for this world.

Have you ever noticed that there are times when it's hard to pray? Have you ever noticed a spiritual battle during the times you want to carve out time in your day to spend a moment with the Lord? Today, Pastor Ed will be reminding us that there is a reason the devil works so hard to make prayer a burden and to prevent us from approaching God. If Satan can prevent you from praying, he will be essentially preventing you from living a victorious Christian life.

As Pastor Ed continues his teaching series on hearing the voice of God, he'll be encouraging us to take more time listening for Gods voice during times of prayer and all throughout our day. The Lord speaks in many different ways. He speaks through other Christians, through your Pastor, and through the Word of God. God can speak to our hearts in a whisper, a still small voice, or He can shake us up through certain circumstances in our life to get our attention. The question is, are you listening to Him?
