In the middle of the Christmas busyness, expectations, and holiday noise, this episode is an invitation to slow down and remember the true reason for the season — Jesus Christ.
These affirmations are inspired by meaningful Christmas traditions and symbols that point us back to Christ, reminding us that even simple moments can be sacred. Together, we reflect on peace, generosity, kindness, and Christlike love — the heart of Christmas.
This episode is meant to be a gentle pause. A moment to breathe. A soft place to land when the season feels full.
You can repeat these affirmations out loud, hold them quietly in your heart, or simply listen and let them settle as a prayer.
May this time help you feel grounded, present, and reminded that Christ’s light is already with you — in your home, your motherhood, and your heart.
Merry Christmas, Mama. 🎄🤍

Christmas can feel busy, overwhelming, and full of mixed messages — especially as Christian moms trying to keep Christ at the center of our homes.
In this special Christmas episode of Building Yourself with Grace, I share why I still believe in Santa Claus — not as a distraction from Jesus Christ, but as a beautiful symbol that points our hearts back to Him.
You’ll hear a heartfelt reading from the beloved children’s book I Believe in Santa Claus by Diane G. Adamson, a reflection on the deeper meaning behind common Christmas symbols, and a poem I wrote called The Reason for the Season.
Together, we’ll talk about how traditions like Santa, wreaths, candles, gifts, and even candy canes can become intentional tools to teach our children about:
Christlike love
Giving and generosity
The Light of the World
Eternal life and hope
Peace in the middle of the holiday rush
This episode is an invitation to slow down, shift perspective, and rediscover how Christmas traditions — when taught with intention — can lead our families closer to Christ, not further away.
Whether you’re feeling joyful, stretched thin, or somewhere in between, this message is a reminder that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season, and His light can be found in the small, meaningful moments we create at home. 🎄✨

If you are walking through postpartum depression, healing after miscarriage, or carrying quiet grief that feels too heavy to name, this affirmation episode is for you.
These affirmations are inspired by Episode 16, my deeply moving conversation with Bridget McCann, where she shares her journey through postpartum depression, anxiety, and miscarriage — and how her faith in Christ carried her when she felt like she had reached her breaking point.
In this gentle affirmation episode, you’ll be reminded that:
These affirmations are meant to be a soft place to land — words of truth you can return to when your strength feels thin and your heart feels tired. They are rooted in the hope that Christ has descended below all things, and because of Him, you can never fall beyond His reach.
You can listen while resting, breathing, or simply being still. Say the affirmations out loud, in your heart, or let them wash over you — exactly where you are today.
Healing doesn’t have to be rushed. Grace meets you here.

In this deeply honest and hope-filled episode, I sit down with my dear friend Bridget to talk about her journey through postpartum depression, anxiety, and miscarriage — and how her faith in Christ carried her through some of the darkest seasons of her life.
Bridget shares what it felt like to walk through overwhelming emotional struggles, moments of hopelessness, and the fear of hitting rock bottom — only to discover that Christ is the rock beneath our feet, even when we feel like we’re falling.
Together, we talk about:
What postpartum depression and anxiety can really feel like for Christian moms
Navigating miscarriage and grief while trying to keep going
Why struggling does not mean you are broken or failing
How Christ descends below all things so He can lift us up
Finding hope, healing, and grace in seasons when faith feels fragile
This conversation is for any mom who has felt overwhelmed, lost, or afraid that she’s not doing enough — or that she’s somehow alone in her pain. Bridget’s story is a reminder that even when heaven feels quiet, God is still near, and we are never falling alone.
If you are walking through postpartum mental health challenges, grief after miscarriage, or a season of deep emotional struggle, this episode offers compassion, understanding, and a gentle reminder that healing is possible — one step, one prayer, one breath at a time.
