After being forced to leave his job Fitzmaurice began his long road to recovery and to keep him sharp and active while being bedridden, he began teaching himself fashion design through youtube which would eventually leading him to eyewear design. Now, only a few months old, Slyk has grown rampantly and in an incredibly short amount of time. With building Slyk, Josh hopes to spread a message of hope that goes with a little bit of his story while crafting a mission first brand that allows its products to bring the message to light.
