Busy Bitch Book Club

Outlander gave us a bit of everything all in one book! I always love reading about Claire and Jamie, and these two very rarely have a dull moment in their life, which is probably rather unfortunate for them.

Now that we have finished the whole 1st book in the Outlander series, I'm pumped to read more. But before we do we go back in time a bit further to read Virgins by Diana Gabaldon. It should be a fast read, and you can see what else I have planned to read down below :)

Organized by episode release dates:
May 22: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon Chapters 1-23
May 29: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon Chapters 24 - 41
June 5: Virgins by Diana Gabaldon
June 12: Brazen by Maya Banks
June 19: Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
June 26: Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

I'm so glad I decided to read and watch Outlander side by side.  While it can be a bit mind trippy sometimes, I like being able to compare the two but also, appreciate their differences...though some of them I don't enjoy! The of the things I love the most about the show is the scenery and the costumes! They have those both on point! Well just us again next week for the rest of season 1.

Some endings leave you wanting more, others leave you excited, and still this one left me sort of empty of any and all feelings.  I could not put this book down! I practically read the last 2 parts without stopping. It was just soo good! This episode is a quick one, mainly because there's only so much I can say about the battles. I mean, you really need to read them for yourselves. Thankfully, only part of the originally crew died, and onward we go to Brandon Sanderson's next book in the series The Hero of Ages. We will meet back up next week after finishing chapter 40. Don't forget to reach out and tell me your thoughts of the book, I'd love to include them in the episode.

Hey, so how many of those twists and turns didn't you see coming??? I was caught off guard by many of them! I was even rooting for Zane during parts of the book...you know before he went a bit crazy! In the end I'm happy with who Vin picks though, Elend truly is the better man.

Oh! And book 9 of the Outlander series is coming out! We finally have a publishing date :) Which means after we read Hero of Ages, we will switch over to the Outlander series, but have no fear those of you not willing to dive into the Outlander world with me! I do plan on reading 1 book a month not related to that series :) So let me know what you want to read!

Oh how I hate hate hate stopping at a part that is supposed to be stopped at! It took lots of will power to stop reading and to record this episode!
So far many questions have been answered but new questions have taken their place . Oh and  will Vin fall into a LOVE TRIANGLE!?!
Come back next week after reading parts 3 and 4!

So we did it! We made it to the last episode and I feel like it paid off. This episode was all that I hoped it'd be.  I don't feel like it was rushed and they were the right amount of fun and respectful and all at the exact right times.
Now, I'm needing a new show to watch though, so help me pick one out! Give me you recommendations and then we can do a vote on Instagram later on.

Ahhh doesn't it feel great to have closure for a book? The last half of Mistborn answered a lot of my questions but left me with a partial understanding of what Renoux is. I loved this one so much, we are going to read book 2! But split it into 3 weeks, so it's The Well of Ascension for the rest of April!  Let me know what you thought of the book or what you want to read next.
