Today is a special day because it's my 40th birthday, and I thought, what an amazing time for me to share 40 things that I have learned since being a widow and what I would tell someone who's widowed, especially someone who's early on or they're still trying to figure out what this grief stuff is all about.

I broke these up into 3 different categories:

1. What to expect - just getting your mindset in the right direction of what to expect in being a widow.

2. Being in survival mode - you're just trying to get through the day. Some things I've learned and would tell people.

3. Healing - moving forward in your grief journey.
