“In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you” (Mortimer J. Adler). Many books over the years have gotten "through to [me]" in profound ways, changing both my thinking and my life. I'd like to share some of them with you.  And so with this episode, we're beginning a new series within the podcast called By the Book. Sprinkled periodically throughout the podcast I plan to interview authors whose writings have impacted my thinking, giving you access into other minds and other perspectives. If, for whatever reason, I am unable to connect with an author, I will review significant books for you myself. In this way, I hope to encourage all of us to become better readers of the Bible.
