Trump wants to delay fending off the federal indictments⁠ until after the 2024 election because he's the leading GOP nominee currently. As awful and wrong as the tactic is, it's even more absurd that he IS the leading GOP nominee. That fact says more about the party base and the presumptive leading challenger's inability to be liked by just about anyone. Also, it seems⁠ Florida's starting experience what California's long dealt with ⁠- and it's pretty obvious "liberal policies" aren't the reason.
