In today's homily, Msgr. Magee tells us that, after His resurrection, Jesus presents Himself to the apostles through many proofs. The first being that He appeared to them, He ate and drank with them, and continued to give them directions for following Him. When Jesus speaks to Thomas "blessed are those who have not seen, but believe", He is referring to all of us throughout time, meaning you and I who would come to know Jesus as alive, not from seeing Him outside of ourselves, but from experiencing His living presence, His transformative power, withing ourselves. In today's Easter Homily, Msgr. McCormac discusses the phrase SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. He suggests the importance of this idea for our welfare, and the welfare of others. He ties it into the story of the Resurrection. Those who were first to discover that the tomb was empty that first Easter morning told others about it. Those people then told even more the story of Jesus's rising from the dead. The story has been repeated through the years, until our current time. We owe our faith to those who have passed it down through the ages. Monsignor then poses the question - - are we sharing the faith, within our family and in our church? Though many Catholics may be reluctant to do that, that is what we are called to do. Monsignor's message is clear, we must witness to our faith. Have a Blessed Easter Season!!

In his homily, Msgr. Magee reflects on today's Gospel, which is the reading of the Passion and Death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we begin this most sacred week that we call Holy Week, let us reflect and be grateful for the salvation won for us by Jesus on the cross. In today's Homily, Deacon Bradley Moss reminds us of Jesus's message of "trust me, I know what I am doing". He proves His power to a skeptical crowd when he calls in to his friend, Lazarus, who has been dead for four days, and and says, "Lazarus, come out. Death, release my friend". In doing so, He shows how he has come to earth to conquer all things, even death. This precursor victory over death is a prelude to His ultimate victory over death, and his resurrection on Easter Sunday! In today's Gospel, we are told about the blind man that Jesus encounters. Jesus smears clay on the eyes of the blind man, and tells him to go into the pool and get washed. He listened and followed the command of Jesus, and he was healed. Msgr McCormac reminds us that our Lord wants to do the same for us. In today's homily, Msgr. Magee helps us understand the gospel meaning of the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus meets this woman at the well, and tells her that he can quench the burning thirst she had for true love, in a way that five failed marriages and one cohabitation could never come close to doing. In their brief encounter, she comes to realize that He know everything about her, and that here was "Love" in person, asking her to be HIS, in a way that she never imagined could fill so many needs in her. Today's gospel reading describes the Transfiguration of our Lord, where Jesus revealed his divine glory to Peter, James, and John on Mt. Tabor, appearing with Moses and Elijah and transforming with a dazzling, white radiance. Msgr. McCormac creates a wonderful analogy to help us to understand what Jesus is doing. He suggests that Jesus is trying to give his apostles a glimpse of the glory that He will return to, and that we will inherit one day. In today's gospel, Msgr. Magee reminds us that Jesus allowed Himself to be tempted by the devil, and set an example for us, His sons and daughters on how to fight temptation. Though He was infinite, he took on our limitations. Though he was all powerful, he took on our powerlessness. In today's homily, Msgr. McCormac explains how Jesus expands on His previous teachings. For example, thou shalt not kill expands to include anger between people, especially in families, and thou shalt not commit adultery expands to include looking at a man or woman with lust. He reminds us that "a little white lie" is not from God, and should be avoided. All of these commands must be taken into our hearts, and become a part of the fabric of our lives. The Lord has given us a free will, and He wants us to choose Him, every time, by choosing His teachings and making them a part of our lives. Have a Blessed Week!!
