One of the biggest items on the Avalanche to-do list has been checked. Superstar defensemen Cale Makar signed a new deal with the Avs. A six year $54 million dollar deal. Losing Makar was never on the table due to his RFA status and Colorado stating they would match any offer sheet. None came, and the Avs and Cale are both happy.
