Welcome back to the 7th season of Calling the Dawgs! This is one our typical offseason episodes where we catch up on recent Dawg news and any waves in the college football landscape. We also discuss what round we think our Dawgs are going in the 2024 NFL Draft. We hope to bring you one more offseason episode but there's no guarantee. Unfortunately, we do not get paid to do this. But nevertheless, we are back for another season and hungry as ever for another National Championship run!

The current state of College Football: the Wild West in Space. We don't know exactly what to make of this game. Make no mistake, it is important. This is the game that springboards us into the 2024 season. Let's start 2024 off with a win and get ready for the gauntlet next fall.

The Dawgs meet the Tide this weekend in Atlanta. For some reason, this game feels bigger than the National Championship. Maybe its the swelling hatred of Alabama while they dominated college football for decades. Maybe it's the chance to finally beat them for the first time in the SEC Championship. Either way, this is the biggest game of the year. This may be one of Nick Saban's weakest squads of late, but they have the ability to play at an elite level on occasion. Strap up. This is going to be a dogfight...

The Rebels are coming to town and it's looking like the weather won't be so welcoming. Win this one and the Dawgs are heading to Atlanta. The first SEC night game in Sanford since 2020. Don't forget, this is a Kirby revenge game (2016). It's about to be a wild Saturday night.

It's a beautiful thing watching the Dawgs whip up on the Gators in Jacksonville. That was probably our most complete game to date. We've got a HUGE game this weekend against a 1-loss Missouri squad. Good thing is, the game is in Sanford and Dawgnation is still hungry.

Them Dawgs are fresh off the bye weekend and hopefully getting healthier every day because we will need all hands on deck for the Cocktail Party. That's right, the biggest game every year is finally here and it just feels right. The coast is calling those loyal Dawg fans to make the annual pilgrimage down to St. Simons, Jekyll, and ultimately, the armpit that is Jacksonville, Florida. We love everything about this weekend, including loving to hate the Florida Gators with a passion. This game is HUGE for the Dawgs as we head into our November gauntlet.

The Dawgs put together a complete, dominating performance against the basketball school last weekend. We were happy to see them not only take care of business, but do it with a minimal amount of mistakes. Was Kentucky overrated? Maybe so. But that was the best game start to finish that we had played all year. This week, we've got Vandy. And that's about all we have to say about that.

The Dawgs passed their first away test. Was it an A+ effort? No, definitely not. But we learned a lot about the resiliency of this team last Saturday. We've got a big one this weekend with undefeated Kentucky coming to town. After 3 long years, we finally have an SEC night game. Buckle up, or rather, hunker down. This one is going to be a slugfest.
