    Calm the Chaos/ RevelEleven

    RevelEleven is a unique blend of inspiration and information, community and conversation, friendship and focus. RevelEleven events are an opportunity to listen to outstanding women speakers and support and challenge each other to be the best we can be. They also host retreats in Seattle, Roslyn and across the globe.

    Since March, Joanie + Monica have hosted more than 70 virtual events, pivoting from in person events due to the pandemic. Drawing women from all over the world, topics have included everything from The Art of Breathing and Finding Self Worth to Gardens that nurture and yoga classes

  • 47. Victoria Lane, Finding Passion and Purpose.

    Calm the Chaos/Victoria Lane

    Victoria Lane was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, where she is currently employed by Syracuse University as a book designer at SU Press. Until she was about 35 or so, she spent every summer at my family's summer home on Otisco Lake, where she developed a love of fishing and creating art work. Victoria loves to fish and paint (mostly painting trout and other freshwater fish; go figure). She is also a calligrapher and has done commissions for wedding invitations, certificates, poetry, etc. She finds it most enjoyable and rewarding. Right now Victoria is looking forward to retirement in about 6 mos. when she hopes to be able to do some travelling; both domestic and international. Of course that is all very much up in the air at this point. Victoria maintains a positive outlook and also looks forward to more volunteer work with Casting for Recovery. She has a daughter and sister whom she loves dearly and tries to spend as much time with as possible. Victoria is looking forward to retirement as a new chapter in my life.

    Cara Downey is a once-therapist turned museum archivist. She is the founder of Freagh Cottage Residency for Artists + Writers, a creative residency located on the west coast of Ireland. She is also a co-founding editor at Empty House Press, a small magazine focusing on home, place, and memory. She recently relocated to the wilds of Maryland's Eastern Shore, where she works at a small museum by the ocean attempting to read 100-year-old handwriting.

Emma created her instagram account @inusedbooks in February of 2018 because of her love of used books and the treasures she found inside them.
