Lisbeth “Lis” McKinley, is a Certified Professional Organizer, move manager, public speaker and owner of LET’S MAKE ROOM, LLC based in Oakland, California, now in its 12th year of operation.

Lis, along with her team at LET’S MAKE ROOM, helps clients achieve their unique vision of organization, before or after moving, remodeling or to refresh and unclutter their living, work and storage areas.

Pattie Hanmer was born in England and lived there until her mid 20's. Her appetite for adventure, new experiences and hunger for spiritual growth took her to Australia and New Zealand until 2000 when she set sail again and came to the PNW.  Pattie spent many years studying healing practices, personal development, she holds certifications in hypnotherapy, reiki, life coaching, feng shui and has studied with some of the best-known teachers worldwide, such as Dr Jean Houston, Denise Linn, Joe Dispenza, and many others. She has participated in many creative arts, painting, encaustic, mosaic, writing, and interior design. Her world is varied, colorful and her passion includes cooking, creating sacred space and coaching others to find joy in the arts. She is a teacher of the Artist Way and has taught classes for over 5 years. Sherry is a nutrition coach and a personal trainer. She helps midlife women lose weight and reduce the symptoms of menopause using simple fitness and nutrition habits. She went back to school to study fitness and nutrition in her 40s and worked at the YMCA instructing fitness classes and doing personal training for 6 years before starting her own business. She now has a number of online programs and one on one coaching for women going through menopause.

USA Today best-selling author Marty Wingate writes mysteries set in England. In the First Edition Library series (Berkley), Hayley Burke is the curator of a collection of books from the Golden Age of Mystery. Book two, Murder Is a Must, will be released October 2020. Marty also writes the Potting Shed books (Alibi) featuring Pru Parke, a middle-aged American gardener transplanted from Texas to England, and the Birds of a Feather series (Alibi) follows Julia Lanchester, bird lover, who runs a tourist office in a Suffolk village. 

Marty also writes historical fiction. Glamour Girls (Alcove Press, January 2021) follows the story of a young woman pilot in World War Two Britain.

Leyla Alyanak is a journalist and former foreign correspondent. At 43, she made a major decision to reinvent herself and travel the world solo for six months – she was gone nearly four years, before cell phones, apps and Google. She found time to get lost in a Mozambican minefield, paddle her way out of a flood in the Philippines, and get stampeded by an elephant cow in Nigeria. Always an activist, she has worked for the World Wildlife Fund and for several health-related United Nations agencies. 

Today, at 67, she consults for the UN on human rights, continues to publish widely, and travels the world solo as often as she can, documenting it all on Women on the Road, the website for solo travel over 50.
