This week Jesus will send the disciples out to do ministry without Him, but He will equip them with His power and authority. We’ll also study one of Jesus’ biggest miracles, the feeding of the 5,000. Afterwards, Jesus will ask His disciples an important, life changing question. The question Jesus asks them is one we must answer correctly ourselves.

This week we’ll learn that a genuine, saving faith will naturally produce good deeds. But James will also warn us that "faith without deeds is useless". We’ll learn that James isn’t trying to say that our works can save us, he’s warning us that a verbal profession of faith won’t save us if it doesn’t transform our actions.

We can have a tendency to judge by appearance, status, and what people can offer us—but Jesus doesn’t. Join us this weekend as we open James 2:1–13 and discover why the ground is level at the foot of the cross.

James 1:19-27 emphasizes that true faith must move beyond mere listening to active obedience. This passage warns against the self-deception of acquiring biblical knowledge without putting it into practice. We will learn that “pure religion” through the Holy Spirit is a life marked by a controlled tongue, personal holiness, and compassionate service to those in distress.

As we conclude Luke chapter 8, we see how two miracles intertwine, and we learn the importance of how our faith is related to our healing.

This week in Luke, Jesus will challenge us to always let our spiritual light shine. He will also remind us that if we’re afraid to share the gospel, God will step in to make sure it gets revealed. Jesus will also prove He is God when He forces nature and the demonic realm to obey Him.

In "Joy on the Journey," from James 1:1-11 we learn that trials are opportunities for spiritual growth, encouraging believers to choose joy and perseverance as God uses life's challenges to build Christ-like maturity and completeness. This passage also reminds both the poor and the wealthy to find their true identity and value in Christ rather than earthly circumstances.

Don't mistake God's patience for powerlessness. When you stand at the crossroads of confronted sin, will you choose the stubbornness that stalls your life, or the repentance that restores it? 2 Corinthians 13 walks us through Gods patient power in life’s most confronting crossroad.

Sometimes it takes the miraculous to remove our doubt, and sometimes we can just believe. Tonight we dig into a deeper understanding of Jesus confirming that He was the Messiah and giving peace to those that were around Him. Perhaps you need to be reminded of what He has done for you and that He is who He said He was!
