The book of Judges is not about people in long robes banging gavels. The Judges we’ll study are “warrior heroes” who were personally chosen by God. He will use them to deliver His justice to the pagan nations via their swords. They are ordinary people from ordinary families, but when God equips them, they become the superheroes of the Old Testament.

In the conclusion of Hebrews, this letter to the believers includes warnings and encouragement. The writer is very intentional about reminding us that no matter what we face, Jesus is the same and God is faithful. We learn that Christ makes us complete, working in us so that all we do is well-pleasing to Him.

1 Corinthians 15:35-58 we study the importance of living with an eternal perspective and being prepared for the rapture of the church. We learn about the glorified body that we will receive after death. We are also encouraged to know and fulfill our purpose in life, knowing that our service for the Lord is not in vain.

The second half of Hebrews 12 starts out by encouraging us to live peaceable, holy lives. It will also challenge us to view our times of “shaking” as a necessary step of becoming righteous. We’ll also see some great reminders of how the NT way of meeting with God is far superior to the previous OT ways.

1 Corinthian 15:1-34 emphasizes the foundational importance of the Gospel, urging believers to build their lives on the truth of Jesus' death and resurrection. God’s grace with our salvation inspires our dedication and service to Christ. The resurrection of Christ also gives us hope beyond the grave and helps us not fear death.

This week Paul will discuss the importance of orderly worship and how when we allow the Holy Spirit to work in and though us we help to strengthen the church.

As we pick up in Hebrews11: 17-40 we continue to see how some amazing men and woman went through a life of test and trials so that they could leave for us great examples and encouragement of how we need to live a life of unshakable faith. We will be encouraged to stand on our faith instead of the things of the world.

In 1 Corinthians 14:1-25, the scriptures emphasize the importance of using spiritual gifts like tongues and prophecy with love and for the edification of the church. This message highlights the need for these gifts to glorify God and build up the church, while being mindful of how they are perceived by both believers and non-believers, ensuring that they demonstrate God's presence among us.
