In Genesis Chapter 43, the famine continues. Joseph’s brothers return to Egypt, but they’ve changed and behave better than they ever have before. We’ll even see God transform their jealousy into joyfulness!

In this study of 1 Kings 19 we will learn principles for our lives on defeating discouragement and spiritual depression. In this story Elijah is so fearful and depressed he doesn’t want to live anymore after getting a threating message. Yet this happened just after a huge mountain top victory and experiencing many miracles from God.

A special evening of word and worship celebrating Thanksgiving.

As we begin Colossians 3 we will study very practically ways to live for Jesus. God’s Word teaches us as Christ-followers what to remove from our new lives. The Lord also teaches us how to think, speak, act, and the attitudes we towards others.

In Genesis Chapter 42, we’ll see Joseph pass the “test” of forgiving the brothers who treated him terribly in the past. We’ll also see God “test” his brothers as He evaluates their repentance.

In Colossians 2:6-23, we’ll learn how to be rooted IN Christ. We’ll also study Paul’s strong warnings about the dangers of trying to add anything to the work Jesus did for us on the cross.

In Genesis Chapter 41 and 42, we’ll learn how to suffer successfully during life’s trials. We’ll also see God starting to put everything in place for Joseph’s “family reunion”.

As we finish Colossians 1 and start chapter 2 we will study the goal of maturing in our relationship with Christ. We will also look at barriers to our growth and deceptive things our enemy tries to stop us from following Jesus.
